Will not follow up with end of year builders warranty so he does not have to pay for repairs. Definitely would not suggest this builder or his relator they are beyond difficult to work with.
We were quoted 700. charged 1k. very crappy job. Not happy with it. Many mistakes. Pieces of wood didn't go to the end of the floor. Nails exposed. Chips in the wood. He just puttied over them. A few pieces are not level. I would've paid a little more for a decent job. I don't understand how our price went from 700 to 1k when we bought everything.
I just want it done correctly
The original job request was to install wood laminate flooring in the Living Room and Dining Room and steps. The original quote and contract was negotiated with Mr. who also paid the bill. The customers pulled the carpet revealing the different sub-floors after the initial contract and work order was placed. The sub-floors and base boards and rock ledge were laid rough and out of square. I believe the job looks great considering the product and sub flooring conditions. The only nails showing have been puttied and were necessary to start and end wood flooring as with any type of wood flooring. I have made several attempts to contact Mr. via phone and texts since March 28, 2019. Mr. did text me back that one of his neighbors might be calling me for a job because he had recommended me to them. I was on the job the whole time with my paint foreman to ensure all the trim and finish were done in a professional and proper manner. The following items were beyond the original scope of the work order and were provided at no charge to the customer:
1. Cutting the rock around the fireplace so the border would go under the rock.
2. Mortar around the rock to the floor and repairing a large area of pre-existing damage.
3. Stained the T-molding, stair caps and finishing with polyurethane
4. Painted all baseboards (not just at the moldings)
5. Installed felt and air cushion under the floor as the room was 3 1/2 inches out of square.
6. Rebuilt 6 ft. side steps to fit flooring and level so the steps weren't tilted.
7. Made special trip to purchase trim for steps because the trim purchased by the customer
didn't look good and I paid for the new trim.
8. Helped Ms. with her truck to get it running and left a battery charger to assist
them. (It's still there.)
I honestly don't know of anything that could be done to make the flooring look better.
Thank you.
