Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: After he left I discovered that they had covered our drain with dirt and/or sod I had another landscaper look at it and said the drain should have been moved and not just allowed to run under the gate He also said it was poor quality sod I have copies of emails sent to him and Home Advisors I think one of them would have gotten through I don't feel like I can work with him again I would like a refund of some sort I do have enough coverage and a large tree was just removed from the front yard this spring, so there was some shade and another sprinkler was capped and they covered it up e even more and it could have just been replaced with sprinkler head
I'm sorry, but I just don't like being told things that is a he said she said situation when I get another contractor tell me something different that makes sense to me
Sincerely,*** ***
I met with the customer yesterday and figured out she was trying to contact me via a email that I don't use. However I reviewed her problem with her and showed her that her existing irrigation system did not have enough overlap in the small area she was having trouble with the grass. She was...
telling me that as the summer went on and the watering restrictions imposed by the city only let her water twice a week during the drought. This area was in the most sun and was not getting enough water to keep the turf alive. The rest of the back yard was looking good but she needed to increase her watering before the ground gets too dry and the temps much higher. We discussed adding a additional sprinkler head to the area affected and redoing the sod there at a discounted price of $400.00.
The drainage problem was due to the high volume of rainfall in a short amount of time and floating debris from the lawn probably was causing a dam effect under the gate where the water was to flow out. I was able to easily slide my hand/fingers under the gate but it would not take much to cause a restriction in flow. We are going to make that gap a little larger when we replace the sod there.
