My roommate and I began renting with Jewels about three years ago after graduating from college. I had much more efficient and responsive landlords through my four years in college by a long shot. Jewels is very unresponsive. We have emailed and called them on multiple issues and it has been weeks, if at all, that we hear a response. They are extremely unprofessional and do not seem to care about their properties or the tenants living in them. My roommate and I love our location, but the service from the landlord has been extremely terrible. We have had to fix most of the household issues ourselves because it is so hard to get anyone to come by and take a look, or really even pick up the phone at the office.

I rented from this company in 2013. I was forced to sue them for most of my deposit they kept under unlawful terms. I eventually won and received my money but the landlord is a horrible man and business owner. The landlord is disrespectful and the definition of a "sm lord". I was charged the cost of repainting the whole interior of the house after I was told by their repair man that after we moved out they would be repainting the interior of the house. There was no clause in the lease about the tenants being responsible for repainting cost but after moving out that story was changed. My interaction with him was more than unpleasant. I would NEVER recommend this company and I have dealt with some horrible landlords before.
