Customers 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 was repaired at our shop, with the understanding that vehicle needed to be completed by a deadline. Customer had vehicle sold and needed done ASAP. Customer dropped off vehicle...
and estimate was wrote and submitted to Ins company. After approval from Ins company, Insurance wanted to re inspect vehicle before repairs were started. Some parts for the interior for this 2008 Dodge Ram were discontinued (IE, dash pad, seat covers and center console parts) from Dodge and had to located through salvage dealer which found some of the parts from out of state which delayed repairs. Customer contacted shop several times and was advised the status of his vehicle by our secretary. Customer was NEVER happy to speak to our secretary about the status of his vehicle and always wanted to speak to a manager. After vehicle was completed, vehicle was returned to our shop for water leak. Water leak was repaired and was delivered back to customer. Leak was tested before customer was notified. No water leak from rear back glass before delivery. Customer contacted shop after delivery and advised shop that leak was still present and now had a mold issue several weeks after vehicle was fixed. Customer was advised to drop vehicle off at his convenience the following week for us to look at water leak and mold issue. Customer was not happy to set up appointment with secretary and demanded to speak to manager. After manager got free from doing daily activities, customer got very irate with manger about mold and water leak. Customer was advised to contact his Insurance company and ask them how to proceed since we were not trained in mold removal. Shop was contacted by Ins company after phone call with owner and was advised by Ins company that we were not trained in mold removal and they would send out Ins adjuster to handle claim from here. As far as shop repairs are concerned, all repairs were performed to the best of our ability and all parts that were available for interior of this vehicle have been replaced. Customer was reimbursed by shop for parts that were not available for replacement which was ok by customer. Shop was advised by Ins company that customer had a pervious repair (performed at different shop) that also had a issue with a water leak. This customer was also very demanding and rude and was advised in the future to please have his vehicle repaired elsewhere. Please understand that the shop does not get paid until repairs are complete so shop is always trying to get vehicle done in a timely manner.
