I have been with Jenkins Propane since the beginning and was totally happy for years until the business changed hands and of course that is when things went downhill !
Nothing but hassles and a complete breakdown in communication since the new folks took over the biz. We moved away to our other home a couple of years ago and I went across the street to Jenkins ( thats right, across the street ) and informed them of this and to NOT deliver ANY more propane and alas, within 2 weeks a tank was topped off! Many times I have tried to communicate with the secretary/manager who knows what her position is and have been ignored completely. For all the years Jenkins existed, WE have always made sure the company had a good credit card on file!!! When our card changed as all cards do every few years, I went to Jenkins to give all the relevant info and the secretary or whatever was not there to take the new info so, man was there and he wrote down the info and said he would see that it was updated. Two months later I get a past due notice with a late charge and of course I went right over to update the card info and still get late payment stuf! Today is 10/7 and I got another statement saying I owe them money for the propane they delivered 2 weeks after I told them NOT to deliver any propane to the house! I am not in the wrong here, they are!
Jenkins Propane has sent me a bill for an in-ground propane tank rental. I do not use their service and would like to have the tank removed.I have received two bills from Jenkins Propane for an annual tank rental fee. 8/31/15 (invoice #[redacted]) for $91.81. A second bill arrive two weeks later (also dated 8/31/15) indicating an account balance of $77.30 for an annual tank rental fee. Although I am a former customer, I do not use their service since my neighborhood recently converted to natural gas. I have left repeated phone messages and sent emails requesting that Jenkins Propane remove the tank from my property. Although I have spoken with the receptionist, in spite of my repeated attempts to resolve the situation, I have been unable to speak with the manager. Desired SettlementI would like manager from Jenkins Propane to contact me by email. I would like to have the tank rental bills cancelled, the propane remaining in the tank and the tank itself removed from my property.Business Response Our Manager,[redacted] emailed the customer on 9/20/2016, letting him know that the tank rental bills had been cancelled/taken off his account and that our tank removal contractor would be contacting him in regard to a date that would be convenient for the customer to have the tank removed. Since that date, our manager has been in touch with the customer and has met with him on site to coordinate and schedule the removal of the tank. The tank was removed today, October 5, 2016.Consumer Response I have not received an email from the representative of Jenkins Propane, in spite of the statement made in response to my complaint. Since the propane tank has not been removed from my property, I consider the complaint unresolved. As soon as the tank is removed, I will be more than happy to agree to remove my complaint in a timely fashion.Final Business Response Our Manager,[redacted] emailed the customer on 9/20/2016, letting him know that the tank rental bills had been cancelled/taken off his account and that our tank removal contractor would be contacting him in regard to a date that would be convenient for the customer to have the tank removed.
