Jeff King Taxidermy

Ducks were with taxidermist for 18 months. During this time I was given inconsistent information, finally was told that neither duck could be mounted.Two ducks, one a rare canvas back, were taken to Jeff King around December 2014. My wife and I called several times from Dec 2014-Apr 2016. We was told they were delayed for about a year. At one point, I personally went by the business, and was told by his wife that the ducks had been mounted and just needed to be painted. When my wife called to follow up in April 2016, she was first told that they had tried to contact us and didn't have a phone number. Then Jeff told her he had my phone number and had left me several messages. They had my correct phone number from the time the ducks were dropped off in 2014, and I never received any messages from them. Jeff told my wife that both ducks were slipping and could not be mounted. It is unlikely that both ducks would have been messed up to the point where they could not be mounted, not to mention the fact that I was told previously that they had been mounted. After waiting 18 months, this is very concerning and disappointing for a couple of reasons. First, based on the inconsistent information, I do not know what to believe regarding the ducks. Secondly, these ducks represented a special hunting trip for my sons and I, and are irreplaceable. I have had animals mounted at other places throughout the years, and have never had a bad experience anywhere else.Desired SettlementThe ducks cannot be replaced, so there is no resolution or way to correct this problem.
