Review: I purchased an Xbox One game console from this business on [redacted].
The listing clearly advertises a six month warranty in several places.
When I discovered several months after purchasing it that the game console only worked with downloaded games and would not read any discs I tried to contact the business through e-bay and paypal to find a resolution, whether it was for them to refund, repair, or replace the console.
The business ignored all attempts to contact them and messages sent. I tried for several weeks to contact them with all attempts completely ignored by the business. All of this happened well within the advertised six month warranty period.
I finally got a response when I sent them a message that I was contacting [redacted] and paypal to help resolve the issue because the business was ignoring me. This was on the 181st day after the warranty began. This was their response:
" Hi-
You're well past the warranty period at this point which is why there was nothing to discuss.
The same outcome will happen with [redacted]."
The business is clearly familiar with [redacted]'s 30 day policy to file any complaint against a seller and paypal's 180 day policy to force a refund. They never had any intention of honoring their advertised warranty and simply ignored all attempts at resolution until the time period was up and then told me tough luck.
In hindsight I should have gotten paypal involved sooner but at the time I was unaware of their 180 day policy after which they won't do anything and honestly didn't think I needed to worry about this business being that low as to simply ignore me until I went away.
My son paid for the Xbox himself by saving his allowance for well over a year.Desired Settlement: At this point I would simply like a refund and if the seller is willing to pay for the shipping I'll send their Xbox back. This company is obviously not reputable and has no intentions of standing behind their products and I no longer trust them to repair or replace the unit for fear that I'll just get another faulty unit or never get this one back if it's sent in for repairs.
