We bought my husband's car there last March. It is now making alot of noise. We still owe about $3,000. There have been so many problems with it since we brought it home. I did call Len immediately after in which he told me to bring it in, great no problem, except when I simply asked if we could bring it in on a Saturday, because of our work schedules his response was "my technicians don't work on Saturdays, they have to spend time with their families." Fast forward a year later, we've spent so much money to fix the car, that is not even a year old. Even now, the car is making a horrible noise and is not driveable. Extremely frustrating that we haven't even had it a year yet!

+1

Great family owned and operated used car dealership with 2 locations one in Fulton New York and one in lyncort New York husband and wife operated have bought a few cars over 10 years from them and will buy my next one there as well

First my boyfriend purchased the truck from him in February of 2019, there was a dent in the driver side of the fender the wheel kept going flat , well like a couple weeks of me having it the check engine like came on I told him about it he cleared it and said if it comes back on bring it to me so 2 days later it came on again so I tried to call his other guy that works with him to fix the problem never fixed it kept clearing the code. He came and repo the truck from my boyfriend then said well if you want the truck back you need to put it in your name so I did he made me pay the reposition fee the fee to make a new key and money to get the truck back. Then he upped my payment from 313 to 400 dollars without me telling him that’s what I can afford also when he took it from my boyfriend it was only 6999 left to pay it off I got the first bill and it went up to almost 9000 dollars again! When I got it back he tried to get me to clam the dent on my insurance because he did t want to fix it but when I received the check he wanted me to pay him 500 to fix it but that didn’t happen. So I had it for a few more months and the check engine light was still on. The day I went and got it back the light was on and he cleared it then took it some placed to have it inspected. He also has people working for him under the table for 10 dollars a hour without taxing them! Also I heard from one of his workers that he buys cars and Don’t even make sure they are safe to drive he just inspects them also I was driving and the truck shut off wheel I was driving he made me pay for the part to fix that too.he never gave me a copy of my contract.

In regards to attached complaint *** missed her monthly payment on a signed and supplied purchase agreement and after given repeated opportunities to adhere left selling dealer no option but to repossess as per signed agreement. Selling Dealer denies knowledge of insurance claim but at this time demands information in regards to any monies paid by insurance company on subject vehicle due to fact that as lien holder selling dealer not customer should receive any insurance money, and any check issued by insurance company should have been made out to customer and lien holder and would have had to been endorsed by the lien holder/selling dealer. At this time dealer will compensate Miss *** for the title if she didn't lose as we can either do repossession paperwork as it will go against her or if she provides with said title we will compensate the title fee of $50. Thank you any questions or comments call ***.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Regards, ***
I don’t know where the title is and I’m not filling out repossession paperwork because I feel like he took advantage of me. The first time I was late on the payment he had me sign on a piece of paper that if I missed it that there was a late fee or repossession he didn’t sign it his employee Justin signed it. I had the money to pay him and he came and took it because he didn’t want to accept the payment and late fee. As far as the insurance goes I never claimed it on my insurance.I never once received a copy of my contract for this vehicle, also he upped my payment from 313.00 to 400.00 a month which also isn’t fair because I have 4 kids to take care of. He has had me pay for repossession in the past plus more!

I never got a check from my insurance company Lenny wanted me to clam it on my insurance and I told him no because he wanted me to get the check from them and pay him to fix the dent that was already in the vehicle when I got it. So there for I NEVER got a check. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Regards

In response to our conversation , Tuesday January 28 this year , we oppose your statement that dealer refused to provide paperwork , Ms. was given copies of paperwork you requested , as all of our customers get copies of their agreements. The repossession paperwork is attached , but in your report please note customer could not provide documents/proof requested versus the dealer wouldn't provide .It is our belief and highly expected , appropriate and typical that the complainant and or customer that filed the complaint should be the very one to provide the requested and or any information needed. We were kind enough to help and entertain this situation as we feel that the customer made this complaint due to her failure to make her promised payments on subject vehicle as we never heard from her of any problems and/or complaints until the subject vehicle was repossessed. Again we help a lot of people that can't get financed anywhere else . We get these bad credit individuals driving and all that is expected of them is to make their required payments, we would NOT be in this situation if Miss *** had made her payments as agreed upon and due to her inability to do as promised we , the helpful , forgiving , generous small business people are inconvenienced after all of the additional time and money necessary to recover subject vehicle to then provide paperwork that the very complainant did and should still posses but cannot ! If the Revdex.com is truly interested in what is right and what is wrong and better business they might look to educate the complainant on how to do better business themselves and to adhere to the agreement they signed ! Only when this did not happen and only then did there become any problem ! We strive to be the very best at what we do and a lot of what we do is help those who can not be financed build their credit at OUR cost where we pay a legitimate bank to report our customer's payment schedule to the three credit bureaus and get them to work , the doctors office , the store , etc. in a nice affordable , reliable vehicle where NOONE else will . We are very sorry that we don't have a lot of time for such issues as the time of day we now committed to entertain your inquiry but hopefully you have what you need to conclude your investigation and wish Ms.Kelly good luck moving forward as we could not allow her to drive without paying as promised ,Thank You , Sincerely Len A. I was taken advantage of and treated poorly by LEN. Len is the man who runs JD Motors. He has a few shops. I purchased my vehicle from the shop in Fulton NY.
*** to be exact. I went there because my mother was looking at cars he had a few months previous to my car search. The day I looked at & went to test drive the car pieces of the car were broken ( the latch to open the trunk, the passenger seat side plastic, under the hood was dirty and had a wash cloth instead of a cap for one of my fluids. I asked him to fix these few things before I come get the car, I also asked him if he thinks the car is a good fit for me because I travel back and forth to NC often to visit my fiancé. I also told him I’d be leaving in a few weeks to make that trip and my daughter will be in the car so I need to be sure it’s gonna be safe enough. He said the car will be good to travel. So I put a down payment of 500 to hold the car he told me it would be ready in a few days. When I left he ended up texting me or my mother saying that there was a recall on the vehicle ad he wants to fix that before I get the car and stuff. Well it wasn’t ready for a week or more & When I finally went to pick it up it really didn’t look like anything was done to it because he said that there’s another recall I’ll have to bring it back for but it’ll be good until I do, so I asked him to pop the hood to see if it was rinsed out or if the fluid cap was even put on and that wasn’t even done. So after putting a 500 deposit and leaving the car for a week He really didn’t do anything to it. I work and have a baby I need to be able to get from point A to point B. I’ve been out my car for long enough at this point. So he takes the cap off another Jeep on the lot and changes that right in front of me. He seemed mad or annoyed that I noticed it wasn’t done already. I ask him again if he thinks it’s good for traveling because I’ll be leaving next weekend to go to NC. He says yes just get it back in here after your trip to get the other recall that’s on. I’m sorry but I’m young, I left that day putting another $2500 down on the vehicle, I’m female and I don’t know much about cars and I think he sensed that and took advantage of it. So as soon as I drive off the lot and take a right my car beeps and says my right signal light is out. So I’m like wow great !! I can’t travel that far without a light !!! So I call him while I’m at work on break just to ask him what day works best this week to bring the car back before I leave because not only is my signal light not working my “oil change required” light is coming on too. That’s when the disrespect and unprofessional acts from him started. He answers the phone and says Hello I say “hey Len this is ***, I bought the Jeep Patriot from youu was just wondering when I can bring it in..” and before I can even finish he cuts me off and says “woah woah woah i’m on my way to a meeting right now I’m running late, there’s no way I can do it tonight I don’t know you’re gonna have to call me back tomorrow during normal business hours I don’t even know why answer the phone right now” And I again tried to explain to him I’m like wow I’m sorry I was like I’m not even trying to bring it into you right now I just want to know what day works best for you and he again cuts me off and says yeah I can’t talk right now I’m gonna have to get off the phone I’m sorry but you’re gonna have to call me tomorrow During normal business hours and I asked him what time tomorrow and he says anytime. So I said okay and we got off the phone. I had my mom talk to him a lot for me because he was always rude and standoffish with me, and I AM THE CUSTOMER! It was my hard earned money put down on the car. I deserve to be able to have me and my daughter in something safe. That’s all I asked. To fix the things wrong with it so we can be safe. On my way to North Carolina the car started smoking through the vents. Thank God we made it to a hotel safely. I took it to *** and found out some wires were rerouted wrong and melted on the manifold, they rewrapped them and put them where they should be, I had the recipe to that. The day we had to come home the engine light came on so I brought it back to *** and they said there was a transmission code, a evap leak code, a abs back tire code. And I couldn’t get a print out because their machine didn’t print them out. They said I would be able to make it home so I drove slowly taking many breaks and it took me about 2 days to get home. When I told him about what happened he instantly started saying bring it in so he could take a look at it. At this point I no longer want the vehicle. I just purchased it and I don’t feel like I’m going to be able to afford to fix it. His customer service is horrible and he only cares about the money not the well being of his customers. He had my car multiple times and didn’t fix what he was supposed to. He lied and deceived me, he could have just told me the car wasn’t a good fit for my lifestyle. But he just wanted to get paid and didn’t think about the well-being of me or my young child. I would like to get a refund of my deposit because I no longer want to do business with him. He just got the car inspected before I got it so there is no reason anything like this should’ve happened or went wrong especially because he had the vehicle in his possession 2x before I got on the road to NC . I would really just like my money back so I can get a reliable car for me and my daughter from a dealer who is professional and cares about his customers.

Ms. and her mother came to me to purchase a vehicle due to thefact that I personally finance those with poor credit. With her financial situation Igave her some choices on the type of vehicle she was interested in. Ms.and her mother took the subject vehicle for a test drive and upon them returningshe pointed out some minor cosmetic issues, as she mentioned, a plastic side seatcover was detached, she felt like the engine should be cleaned, and thewindshield washer cap was missing, the tailgate was proper and functioned properly. She then asked if the car was safe and a good car to travel with, I repliedby saying that it was and if maintained would absolutely last and I would take itback in as a trade once she paid it off. She then wanted to move forward as wedid and at that point of inspection possible recalls were made known where I informed her of them and I told her I would bring the car to the Jeep dealer for her to have them addressed. She was fine with all of this as I informed her of the process where I verify if recalls exist and the Jeep dealer schedules as per availability of time and parts. We moved forward and I constructed terms that she could afford and Iagain personally financed her due to her credit issues and/or inabilities. We timely delivered the vehicle to the jeep dealer and two of three recalls were done due tolack of parts. The jeep dealer informed me the final recall would be done as soon as parts became available but that the vehicle was safe and fine to drive. This was then passed on to Ms. and she signed the agreement and all necessary paperwork and took delivery of said vehicle. Not until days later, and after normal business hours, being approxiniately 8pm, I did get a call from Ms. where I asked her if she could call during normal business hours as I was always polite and she agreed to do so. When receiving her call the next day it was to have the vehicle checked before her trip. I told her I would check for fluid levels and such prior to her trip and after owning for a few weeks. We scheduled and verified the vehicles road readiness, she also asked me to check a signal light that she said did not work. I verified with inspection station that the specific signal light worked at time of inspection; The signal light was not brought to my attention until days after delivery. Due to the signal light being difficult to change I asked her to bring it back when I could get it in the garage and disassemble the light assembly and reassemble with a new bulb but she never kept that appointment!! I tried calling Ms. several times to get her back in to address the issue but she never answered my calls or iresponded to my messages. I then called her mother and was told she was in North Carolina and she would have her call me. Ms. did call and mentioned smoke coming from the vent. I then asked her if she was in a safe spot and could check her fluids but she insisted she would take it to a garage and call me. I then asked her to please do so but l never got a call from her just a text saying she was ok and she would stop by when returning. I assumed the issue was not of importance and waited her arrival. She then texted that she was having the vehicle looked at by *** and she said she would drop off with their findings. After days passed I reached out to her and she said she didn't think she wanted the vehicle and would drop it off as ithad many issues. Ms. finally brought the vehicle into our shop and showed me *** findings and provided a small receipt with a single code for an evap leak, avery small evap leak at that there was three possible causes 1. GAS CAP, 2. VENTVALVE, 3. EVAP HOSE. I explained there was no reason for concern and that it didnot make the vehicle unsafe. I scanned for codes in front of her so she could see no other codes existed and she agreed but felt the car was still unsafe afterdriving it 3000 miles to North Carolina and back. I told her if she felt the vehiclewas unsafe she should leave it with me to have it looked to either confirm or denyher concerns and that if I felt it should be returned she would receive any reimbursement that was in order, but that driving 3000 miles and having only a small evap leak does not justify a legitimate Issue for reimbursement. 1:For her to state that I was rude at any time Is absolutely incorrect and touse her gender and child to gain an outcome is totally improper, for me to finance her myself due to her poor credit speaks volumes for my character .I have a third party witness for my claims on the day she returned the vehicle. If Ms. wanted a free ride to North Carolina she should have rented a vehicle. Either way at this time I will make it known that we will not be able to give Ms. a refund and due to the fact that she missed her first monthly payment, which is her legal obligation we will proceed with repossession of said vehicle and follow through with collections.I can and will argue each of her inaccurate claims against my character, business practice, and said vehicle. Ms. drove the vehicle far past 1000 miles NYS provides for limited warranty issues, in which she could not prove any issue other than the small evap leak which did not exist at the time of inspection, which the inspection report proves. The only guilty party is Ms. herself for trying to take advantage of a small businessman that tried to help her personally finance her himself only to be put in a light that did not exist. The fact that she did not even make her first payment, where she is legally obligated to, despite any issues, proves her malicious intentions, furthermore, to mention her gender and parental status is a social travesty and should not be allowed. In short JD Motors empathetically denies any unprofessionalism of wrong doing under any law, statue, or provision that governs the legitimate purchase or sale of motor vehicle by a person or entity. JD Motors can and will prove to the contrary Ms.s claims of any wrong doing on JD Motors behalf both ethnically and professionally as a matter of law. Ms. purchased a motor vehicle and obtained financing by and from the selling dealer and drove the vehicle 3000 miles before returning it with only a personal statement and a receipt stating a small evaporative leak. No "saftey"issues exist and to deem it unsafe with only what Ms. provided as proof falls short of any legal or ordinary definition of "unsafe". Therefore it is reasonable to deny any of the given reasons by Ms. for her request of a refund . As for her opinion of JD Motors and the poor customer service, that is just her opinion. JD Motors can provide written statements to the contrary by many satisfied customers. Ms.s situation is isolated and not shared by a consensus. JD Motors, too, does not want to do business with Ms. and the mere fact that the vehicle was driven to and from North Carolina without failure is in opposition of Ms.s statement and complaints and her own actions prove her case to be illegitimate and deserves no consideration. With Much Regards,Len

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The accusations against me are incorrect I came to the car dealership honest and straightforward. I told Len my intentions of what I was using the car for, upon knowing my intentions he reassured me that the car that I was purchasing was a good running car that would take me back and forth to North Carolina. The car had some problems and Len assured me that they were fixed.. So upon my return I went to the dealership.. At first I was considering letting him fix the vehicle but after having only issues and run arounds with rude service. (For example: I called him while I was on my break at work just to see when I could bring the car in before my trip. He answered the phone and before even letting me get two words out he was cutting me off and telling me to call back tomorrow during normal business hours. That’s he was late for a meeting and was busy. I then asked What time tomorrow and he replied with “anytime”. When you’re in business, you know not to answer the phone when your busy. That was when it started to become hard to do business with Len) After returning from my trip with the same rude service I decided I just wanted my money back. He then brought up our contract and the fact that the warranty was expired now due to the miles put on the car after driving to North Carolina. Which again wouldnt have happened if he was upfront and honest by telling me it wouldn’t fit my needs. He then went on to state that because I traveled and put so many miles on the car, if I was unhappy with the car That I couldn't just get my money back, that now we are gonna go through a process. Following that statement he told me to leave the car with him take the plates off and once I receive my title to bring it to him and my money will be returned. once told this I did exactly what he said. I understood the fact that things take time and sometimes there is a process in business. I have plenty of days before my payment was due when I fisrt told him I wasn’t happy with the vehicle and that I was bringing it back to him in exchange for my money back. Also my first intentions going to the dealership were to get my car fixed not to return it. But returning to the shop and just dealing with his unprofessional ways just helped me decide I no longer wanted to do business. And if he would have told me that I needed to make my first payment that the contract was still going to be held against me I would have continued paying on the car. All I wanted was the car to be fixed correctly the first few times I brought it to him. Of course I wanted the car that's why I purchased the car believing that the dealership was selling me a car that was going to get me back and forth to North Carolina as agreed and discussed. I was purchasing this car and the only reason I did purchase the car is because he said it was going to get me back and forth to NC. Again I really stressed this to him before signing anything. my fiancé is in the service and I go see him in NC often. Im confused as to how the car even passed inspection, I believe Len took the car back because when I took the car to another mechanic to check out what's wrong with it they assured me about the car was messed up with a few things like wires in the car being rerouted wrong and melting on the manifold causing heavy smoke through the vents while me and my daughter were in the car on the highway. I was also told there was a transmission issue, an abs problem with the back tire and a small evap leak. I told him I feel I have purchased something I won’t be able to afford to fix. Pep boys mechanic also asked me when I got the car and did not understand how it passed inspection with these things wrong because there was no way I did it in just one trip down to NC. Also yes the day he read the codes in front of me he only showed the evap leak. I know there are ways to delete codes right there when you plug it up and he was pressing a lot of buttons and turned the car off and on again. I felt he was being dishonest and deleted them before showing me the evap one. I did like the vehicle and was told it was a good fit for my needs that is why I signed our contract and officially purchased the car. When I received the title in mail I contacted him and he told me not to come to the shop because we are now in this process and any of my demands would not be met. I feel he was fine with just taking the car back because he knew that this is the first time that I have purchased a vehicle from anyone that I would not have a clue that the contract that I have signed would still be held against me. So he told me to leave the car there take my plates off and once my title comes back to bring it to him and he will give me my money back knowing that that statement was a lie and deception on his part all so he can keep the car and not give me my money back under the contract and making me look like a person that does not want to make a payment or does not honor their contract. All I was trying to do was have him honor his part of the agreement or just be a reputable dealership and help me in any shape or form with the car.

Regards

I bought a car from this company in october 2017. since I had the car its been in the shop 2 different times. when the car had togo to the shop the second time I realized that the dealer sold me a bad car. my axal is broken because it was rusted and the control arm is correded as well. the was never inspected well enough I almost got in to an accident because they saftey of my car wasnt up to par. the dealer took my car to get inspected in october and there is no way an axal or control arm becomes rusted with the short amount of time I had the vechicle. now I been with out the car since december

Customer Response • Feb 10, 2018

there is a warranty on the vechicle, however the warranty place refuses to pay for the repairs they said that the car parts werent taken care of so they dont cover rusted parts and currosen. now on my defence the car was purched in that condition the car dealer should have made sure every repair was done on the car to ensure my safety however that was not done so when he took the car to the inspection person they should have seen that these parts werent in the best condition and should have been replaced now its going to cost me 1200 dollars for the repairs plus tax. I have already paid 220 for the repairs in november and now another 1200 when go get the car which is currently in the shop. there was 89000 miles when I bought th2 car and now theres only like 92000 on the car and thats estimated but since I had the car I only drove it 2weeks in november and two weeks in december and nowits been in the shopsince december and 3 different adjusters have come to look at the damages. I dont feel comfortable taken it to the dealer because the car wasnt safe when I purched it

The above complaint is an inaccurate statement in its entirety. *** owes JD Motors money and her complaint is just a way to try and get out of the money that is owed to JD Motors in which we have been trying to collect for several months with no response. The amount owed to JD Motors including down payment, late fees and any repairs for the vehicle is $800. If *** needs any help with her vehicle throughout her ownership she can bring it to us at any time as explained at time of sale, and JD Motors will verify and address any issues she may have with subject vehicle. Sincerely, Len *** - JD Motors

I am paying for car thro them he asking ne for money 100 a week I understand that but he told me on the phone he need the money for his kids Christmas stuff I am just confused who I'm paying and they have no record of me ever having a financed through anybody and he falsified the records I never put no money down nothing I really appreciate if you get back to me ASAP because *** s just a bad dealer

JD Motors Response • Jan 02, 2018

This consumer sat with a bank representative and signed paperwork. The $100/ week is what he owes me for the down payment. I let him drive the vehicle with no money paid at the time of pick up and now he doesn't want to pay per the agreement. The bank will also be sending the loan payment book as well.

I recently bought a truck from a private seller, the truck had a lien on it from JD Motors, the guy had a signed paper stating it was paid in full, I called the owner of JD Motors Len *** to inquire whether the truck was paid off and he stated it was and he had no interest in the truck anymore. I went to the DMV the next moring after getting the truck to place it on the road, the DMV told me I needed a lien release, that the paper I had wasnt good enough, I called Len once again and he was nothing but rude to me and told me it is not his problem it is the states for not sending him the paperwork to fill out. I then explained what the DMV told me once again and he refused to type a letter up and said if I kept bothering him he would add an "inconvience fee" on the truck. He then told me to sue him if I wanted to. I called the title bureau in albany ny and they told me there wasnt much they could do but it was illegal for him to hold the lien release. I am stuck on what I need to do, the lien was not from me and it is paid off so I dont get why Len will not fill out a lien release for me
