This correspondence is in response to your letter to "Del-Mar Door Service.", dated March 4, 2016, regarding the above-referenced claim.We have rev iewed the complaint, as well as our own recordsWe understand this matter concerns Mr.***' s objection to our company having charged a standard
travel charge, similar to those charged bypl umbers and other service providers , and a difference between the initial quoted time and the actual time required to travel to his location, assess hi s problem and complete the repairOur location manager has discussed this matter with Mr***, and we had initially believed that the reduced bill referenced in the complaint (original charge of $reduced to $557.43) was a satisfactory resolutionMr*** subsequently made a payment in the amount of $476, an amount he determined he felt was fair, based on the time our technician was on his property actually performing the repair.While we disagree that Mr***'s proposal is reasonable, as we understand it purports to compensate our company for the actual time performing the repair, not time traveling to his location or assessing his problem once our technician arrived, we are nonetheless willing to forego collection of the remaining balance of $to resolve this matter.While we never like to learn of the dissatisfaction of any of our customers, we are hopeful Mr*** will find this proposal acceptablePlease do not hesitate to contact the undersigned with any questions or concerns
