I reached out to get an estimate from Jariri's Lawn Service to have my yard cut. The owner, Munzer, replied back with a quote for $35 as a one-time service. On the estimate he provided the "quantity" was listed as one (1).
All of our communication was via e-mail and records indicate that, at no point, did I request more than one week's service, nor did Munzer indicate that his organization would provide more than one week's service.
Three weeks later, I received the invoice for three week's worth of service at $105. His business has cut our yard two times more than we had requested. Given that I had been out of town, I was not aware of this.
When I contacted Munzer to clear this up, he said that his business only offers recurring services and not one-time-only. He also claimed that I asked for a recurring service or, at the very least, "didn't indicate that I wanted just one week."
Given that all of our exchanges are recorded via e-mail, it's abundantly clear that I did not ask for more than one week, and given that the estimate was for $35 and the quantity was one (1), it was clear that the expectation was a single cut.
I politely asked Munzer to adjust the invoice to $35, as we agreed upon, and he became agitated and neurotic, threatening to put a lien on the house if the full $105 is not paid.
The detail of this matter are as Follows:Billing Issues: Revdex.com Complaint lD:***(***)Company Statement of the Problem:*** reached out to the company via email requesting an estimate to cut front and back yard. Iwent and looked at the property and sent an email with the estimate which states clearly in the first lineweekly mowing, yes it has 1 and $35 which is per cut. He responded Thanks for the estimate lets goahead with the project. Once he receives the email with an invoice 3 weeks later for $105, he sends anemail saying he is confused by the invoice and wrote we agreed upon one cutting at $35, at no point didhe request ongoing or multiple cuts. I responded that we do not do one time cuts and the estimate wasfor weekly mowing not a one time cut, and would let the crew know to stop mowing. He respondedthat it was absurd of me to expect him to pay for the 2 additional mowings, and was disputing the 1 infront of the $35. I wrote back the estimate states in the first line weekly mowing, not one time cut. Then proceeded to threaten that ifl preferred for him to contact the Revdex.com and file a complaint or I canadjust the invoice accordingly. Told him he never stated a he wanted a one time cut, to go ahead andfile with Revdex.com. Then *** began writing that I was running a racket and trying to scam people outof money. I took it personally: 1) $105 is not going to make me rich. 2) I do not scam or run a racket. Iam an honest person and live my life this way with everyone Business or Personal. 3) He stated he is notgoing to pay for something that was never discussed. I responded that I do not cheat or scam peopleand informed him if payment was not received by due date that I would put alien on the property. Heagreed with the estimate which, clearly states WEEKLY MOWING, and he gave the go ahead. Alsonotified him that we have been mowing the yard for the last 3 weeks and not once did he contact us.$105 is the Total Balance due. All emails and Estimate have been included.
Date: Wed, Jul 11, 2018 at 10:23 AMSubject: Complaint #***To: "***@myRevdex.com.org" <***@myRevdex.com.org>Hi ***,I understand *** is not satisfied with my response. I sent all emails and the original estimate. The estimate stated in the first line "Weekly Mowing" not a One time mow or Mowing. It Stated Weekly Mowing, the $35 is the estimate per mowing. *** never stated he wanted a one time mow in any of the communications before. We do not offer one time mows, which is why the estimate States in the first line "WEEKLY MOWING". Had he responded that he wanted a one time mow, I would have notified him we do not provide this service. *** should have been clear in the beginning what service he wanted. We cut his yard 3 times and had we not it would've been ten feet tall with all the rain we had. The moment he contacted me about his invoice service was stopped. I'm not charging *** for work that was not done. The work was done. Furthermore the crew that was mowing the property had seen vehicles in and out of the driveway. Whether he was out of the country or not someone was occupying the residence and knew the yard was being mowed. He agreed upon the estimate for Weekly Mowing at $35 per cut. Which is what he was charged for. The Charge for $105 is fair.Thank You, Munzer J

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: Mr. Jariri is still asking for a payment of $105, which is precisely what I submitted the initial complaint about. At no point in our e-mail interactions did Munzer specify that he was offering a weekly service (see attached file "Agreement of Service") although he had ample opportunities to do so. His quote for the services was listed at $35 dollars and the quantity was listed as 1 (see attached file "Estimate") leading any rational individual to deduce that this was a one-time $35 service.
Munzer's claim that vehicles were in and out of the driveway has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I was out of town, as I have other roommates, none of whom were involved in the process of getting a lawn service. Munzer claims that I was not clear in my initial request (see attached file "Initial Request") in which I express that I'm interested in lawn cutting and weeding. There is nothing in my initial request to suggest that I wanted more than one, but if there was truly a lack of clarity for Munzer, the onus falls on the service provider/business owner to clarify the terms, not the consumer.
Once again, I'm more than happy to pay the $35 that we agreed upon (as outlined in his estimate), but I refuse to pay $105 for additional services that were never agreed upon.
