Review: Hired company to replace a leaky tile shower stall with an acrylic stall, new shower fixture, and new door and repair wet sheetrock in ceiling of room below where old shower leaked. Total cost of $3,700. After much delay work was done but shower door was damaged. Contractor was paid except for hold back to cover door repair that was "placed on order". After 3 days new shower stall began to leak. Crew was to come back to fix leak, smooth uneven tile work, fix damaged door, and clean up excess grout /calking. They attempted first unsuccesffuly and didn't even attempt other three. Contractor won't return phone calls. Engaged [redacted] dispute resolution service but he never responded to them either.Desired Settlement: Reimburesment of another contractor's fees (est $500-750)to complete job in a craftsmanlike manner so that:1) The shower stall does not leak into room below2) Replace shower door ( or portions ) damaged during initial installation3) Replace sheet rock in kitchen ceiling, tape, and compound. Need not paint ceiling since this was not in scope of original project.4) Even edge of tiles and corners around entrance to shower stall so it looks like it was installed by a professional.
