Jaime's Glass

Refusal to give back $150.00 deposit. Did not perform the work. Told me to call another glass company. On 7/20/15 I called Jaime's glass to give me an estimate on replacing 3 panes of glass at my home. He came out, gave me an estimate of $350.00 and said he needed a deposit of $150.00 which I gave him in cash. He gave me a receipt. He said it would be 8-10 days to get the glass in, on the 11th day I called, asked if he got the glass in and he said "no" go call another glass company. Before I could ask for my money back he hung up. I have made several attempts to call with no answer. He never returned my deposit.Desired SettlementI want my deposit of $150.00 back. My wife tries to contact him several times a week for the last 3 weeks. She also texted him.Business Response This customer was contacted. There was a miscommunication concerning his window repair. Jaime had to go out of the country, for 2 1/2 weeks, and another glass company had agreed to install this glass for him, while he was gone. The customer thought Jaime was telling him to call another glass company. The other company did not complete the job, for whatever reason. Jaime could not be contacted via his business number, during this time. He was not avoiding the phone calls from the customer's wife.Jaime did contact the customer and returned all of his money. He did apologize for the misunderstanding and offer to give him the glass for free. Consumer Response Resolved. We received our deposit back. Thank you for your help.Final Consumer Response
