I recently got a notification saying that my card had been compromised. When I called to gain more access about the fraudulent activity, and what merchant released my information, I was told that I couldn't gain access to that information because it "wasn't fair to the merchant". That doesn't seem appropriate or like good customer service at all. How is that fair to the customer? Obviously I would like to avoid going through this ever again by not going to that merchant. Now I have the hassle of not being able to use my magnetic strip for purchases when a lot of stores within the United States don't use the chip reader method. Not very impressed and I am considering switching credit card companies.
