the jeep that was purchase with a bumper to bumper warranty was not honored on the drivers seat- the piece had been glued back. 7/25/14 purchased 2012 jeep liberty with a warranty bumper to bumper and was told by the sale person., sales manager and the finance person that if anything was wrong it would be covered. the jeep liberty was inspected and checked at the JEEP dealership in Macon and found that a piece had been glued onto the drivers seat to hold the plastic cover on. I was informed since that was done that the warranty would not cover it. I called J& M CHevy and spoke with the sales person and told him and he said he would talk with someone and see if anything could be done and I have not heard from him as of today. I told him that I was going to file the complaint with Revdex.com because this was not a good way to treat customers. He stated that he understood. the part to replace is going to cost 175.00.Desired SettlementI just want the piece replaced and fixed. Business Response /[redacted]/Ms. [redacted] was told that the vehicle was sold "as is" with the remainder of the factory warranty. She also signed a Federal Used Car Buyers Guide that stated this. We do inspect each used vehicle that we sell and in this case we also took the vehicle to a Jeep dealer to have a recall performed. Factory warranties cover defects in material and workmanship. Unless the cover was physically damaged, it should be covered under Jeep's warranty. Whoever applied glue did not void Jeeps warranty.
