Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: [redacted] are misrepresenting key facts #- they know very well that the original technician they sent out to install the under the garage door seal didn't finish the job there were huge, gaping holes for the rats to get in and only when I had to call them about it several months later did they send the guy back out They admitted to me on the phone that the technician "forgot the seal those huge gaps" and they then finished the job So, after paying a substantial amount for the "rat-proof garage door seal (which I paid ON TIME), it was months before the actual gaps were closed I believe that this gap in time significantly increased the rat population I paid them to plug all the places the rats could get in, and this clearly didn't happen until I forced them to come back and fix their shoddy work.#- They are completely lying about offering to work with me on this when I called a week ago I was told immediately that they had marked my file "Do not Service" within minutes of my recent call I had NO opportunity to work something out at all That is the main reason I contacted the Revdex.com, they are not willing to discuss this with me.I am not arguing that the year warranty isn't expired and that they should come fix the issue for freeI am arguing that I still have a major infestation and the huge gaps around the bottom of the garage door seal that I bought from them contributed to this Especially since they admitted to me that their tech had simply forgotten to finish the work appropriately Regards, [redacted]

J & J Pest Control is top notch Jamie has inspected and treated dozens of homes for me over the past few years He is very professional and his pricing has been better than any other we have tried I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone!!!
We gave Mr*** a written quote (see the first attachment) for rodent enclosures in July We performed the work and had a garage door professional come out to replace the seals We performed the work August and performed the trap checks as per our agreement. At
that time we suggested rodent bait stations be installed around the house, he declined the stations that would have knocked down the population of rats around the house. All was fine.April we received a call that rats were back in the houseWe found that the rats had eaten through an ac "duct" line and gotten right into the walls (see second attachment). The yellow foam, is not our work. We agreed on a price and trapped the rats out of the house once again and we fixed this at no cost with metal tape. We were not paid for this nor did we hear back from Mr*** until we contacted him for the past due October 2016. That's when he complained that rats were still getting into the garage and we said we didn't perform the enclosures properly. We found that the garage door seal had shrunk a bit on the corners and corrected the problem. Mr*** demanded a discount for the rat trapping that he still owed from the April and we gave him off. He paid November 14th after sending me an email that the tenants said the gaps at the garage corners had indeed been fixed and he would pay us for work that was done months prior to this new complaint. We have heard nothing from him since then until a couple of days ago (I just found out he had called in) He was very rude to my CSR (she was unaware of the background on this account) She told him that the enclosures were out of warranty. He wanted us to come out fix whatever was wrong for free. She told him that we were happy to come out and take a look at the house but the original enclosures were out of warranty. He told her that the house has continued to have rats. This is not what his previous tenants told us when we checked in with them after our garage enclosures. If the house has had rats the whole time I'm quite certain we would have heard about it sooner than now.We were happy to take care of the gaps on the garage last year but we have a one year warranty on our enclosures. If there are new gaps at the garage they are covered until November 8, 2017. The rest of the house is not covered for rodents anymore. We do not know if one of our enclosures failed. They were fine Nov when we checked the house. If rats have chewed a new hole, we cannot be responsible for this. If one of our enclosures failed, I'm happy to take a look and repair it even though the warranty has expired on the rest of the house by almost months. If we repair an enclosure of ours that has failed for free - it will not have a year warranty.Perhaps Mr*** could ask for me (as he has always done in the past, and he has my email address) the General Manager and we could discuss this Thank you so much

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:[redacted] are misrepresenting 2 key facts. #1 - they know very well that the original technician they sent out to install the under the garage door seal didn't finish the job. there were huge, gaping holes for the rats to get in and only when I had to call them about it several months later did they send the guy back out. They admitted to me on the phone that the technician "forgot the seal those huge gaps" and they then finished the job. So, after paying a substantial amount for the "rat-proof garage door seal (which I paid ON TIME), it was months before the actual gaps were closed. I believe that this gap in time significantly increased the rat population. I paid them to plug all the places the rats could get in, and this clearly didn't happen until I forced them to come back and fix their shoddy work.#2 - They are completely lying about offering to work with me on this when I called a week ago. I was told immediately that they had marked my file "Do not Service" within minutes of my recent call. I had NO opportunity to work something out at all. That is the main reason I contacted the Revdex.com, they are not willing to discuss this with me.I am not arguing that the 1 year warranty isn't expired and that they should come fix the issue for free. I am arguing that I still have a major infestation and the huge gaps around the bottom of the garage door seal that I bought from them contributed to this. Especially since they admitted to me that their tech had simply forgotten to finish the work appropriately.

A picture of one of the 2, 1/2" gaps that was at the corner of the garage. As you can see rom picture 3741 they have been repaired. At the time of repair last November 8th the house did not have any rodent activity per the tenants that were living there. If they had, we would have trapped for free. The gaps were not forgotten and what I actually said was (prior to us going out) "I guess Sean must have forgotten those holes but that's not like him). After we were there we discovered that the seal had shrunk a bit and caused the gaps. Again, we were not notified about the gaps until we asked Mr. [redacted] to pay for the trapping that was preformed in April 2016. At that time rats had chewed into another area and we enclosed it for free. Mr. [redacted] still refused the bait stations that we suggested to knock down the rat population around the house. It's evident that there is a significant population living around his area which I believe is the reason for the continued rodent outbreaks. Again, there were no rats in the house November 8, 2016. All of our enclosures were intact and the tenants reported no issues. While we have the right to refuse service to anyone the account was actually marked - "do not service let [redacted] handle this account". I believe the CSR was rattled and just didn't read the rest of it to Mr. [redacted]. I would have gone out and checked our enclosures just as I did in November - the house was out of warranty at that time as well. The CSR never even told me that he had called until we received the Revdex.com complaint. She has been reprimanded for this. While the gaps were large enough for a rodent to access, they were not HUGE nor were they being accessed November 2016.
Review: they did termite service on april 24,2013,they cut sprinkler system electric wire, now my sprinkler automatic system does not work.I called them to send someone who knows about sprinkler they sent an electrian how is not familiar with the sprinkler .he is a friend of the company.he rewired the broken wire to the controller instead of the wires in the ground(that where the original wire goes) after he was done the automatic system still does not work, also I cant set the time on controller, and it says rain sensor is off,and an error message on controller sceen,I took photos of the wire and controller.he caused more problems.I called j and j pest control manager several times her name is [redacted] ,left her messages she does not return my calls, they keep telling me she is busy or out.I am concerned of fire hazzard,I nupluged the system.j and j are giving me the run around.Desired Settlement: they need to send a person how is familiar with sprinkler not one of their ungualified friends to repair sprinkler.I left the manager ([redacted]) a name and phone number of a spinkler company how I talked to and they said the electrian did not know the proper repair, and they can fix the problem, but j and j pest control did not call them.

Response:
We actually responded to this complaint over a week ago but for some reason you did not receive it. I have copied and pasted it here.
April 13, 2013 [redacted] (our termite technician) gave [redacted] a quote for a partial termite treatment. At that time he was given the state required
document (see sam disclosure attached) outlining our policies, warranty, damage
responsibility etc. In addition to the
document [redacted] was also told verbally that we would not be responsible for any
damage to sprinkler systems, electrical lines, water pipes etc.
[redacted] called in and set the appointment for the treatment on
April 24, 2013. [redacted] went out and
during the trenching (digging a trench around the house) the electrical cable
from the rain sensor guage was cut.
[redacted] pointed this out to Ms. [redacted] who appeared not to be
concerned. [redacted] finished the treatment received payment and we thought the
incident was over.
[redacted] called and left a message on voicemail on Saturday April 27, 2013 demanding that we
repair the wire as his entire sprinkler system was not working.
Before I could speak to my technician to see what had
happened, [redacted] called back on Monday April, 29, 2013, I spoke with him and
explained that per the disclosure we were not responsible for the wire. This is
clearly stated in our disclosure as there's no way we can see underground to
avoid such wires. He became very
agitated and stated that he had not read the document when he approved the
treatment and since he had not read the document we were responsible. As you can clearly see there is no small
print on this document but is in State mandated 8 point or higher size.
I called the owner of our company to see what she wanted to
do and she decided that even though we held no responsibility, we wanted to try
and make him happy and called an electrician that had experience with sprinkler
systems. [redacted]
when out (I think the 7th or 8th of May- I haven't received an invoice yet) and
spent several hours there and had the sprinkler working when he left. In fact, [redacted] called me and told me that the
sprinkler was working. The electrician
actually replaced the rain sensor wire with an approved outdoor wire and fixed
a couple of other things like an incorrectly placed wire (see attachment [redacted]
Residence - Sprinkler System) that could have been a fire hazard.
May 9, 2013 [redacted] calls back and starts threatening us with
lawsuits and going to the Revdex.com etc. because his sprinkler system wasn't working
right. I explained that the owner had
been out sick for a week and would be back on May 13, 2013 and we would talk
about it then.
[redacted] took [redacted]'s call on May 13, 2013 and explained
that we were not willing to do anything else to help him with his sprinkler
issue. I followed up with an email (see
sam email.docx attached) stating our
position.
We believe we have gone
above and beyond our responsibility to try and accommodate Mr. [redacted].

I am rejecting this response because:
there is a lot of
inacuraccy with j&j pest response.first the treatment was a complete
exterior treatment not partial,I paid$806.46.I was never told verbally that
they are not responsible for damages to my property ,otherwise I would
have not done the job.the only thing the termite lady explained was a
sketch of the slab treatment.the disclosure statment was never explained to me
never been sigined by me or noticed by me until j&j
mentioned after I called about the spinkler damade after the damage to
property, they intentially hid it from me thats why I did not see or sign(it is
very clear I did not sign, let them present it ,that I signed). After their
electrian left I came home and saw that the grass was wet,I thought the
sprinkler is working properly,I called their manager and thanked her.but when i
tried to set the auto start system I notced that the clock cant be set and
their is an error code on controller, the system works manually which I do not
use ,I set auto to star at 2 AM for 7 mins. then I called j&j pest
control, they said the owner was out but they never called me back.I called the
court inquiring how to file a law suit,I was told to get the owner name not
just company name.I called and talked to [redacted](owner) I was trying
to solve it without court.she said they should have not send the electrian, she
got upset when I told her I filed with Revdex.com,I told her I was never told or
sigined or seen any doucument say you are not responsible for damage, she
said it does not matter and we are not going to repair anything.
