Hi [redacted], Per our discussion this morning, there were costs to return the material – our  labor costs to return decking materials to suppliers and shipping and restocking fees to return materials to the manufacturer.  Restocking fees range anywhere from 20-30%. Kat A[redacted]

We are writing to you in response to the subject complaint.  We satisfactorily completed a portion of  the contract  and upon their request to cancel the contract, returned materials that had been ordered and received.  We do not share costs (labor or material) with our clients....

 This has been our policy for 25 years.  We refunded the amount that was applicable for the work done and shipping/restocking fees for materials returned.
