Failure to return equipment resulting in my being sent to a collection agency and costing me $1840 in settlement charges.
[redacted] of JD & Sons was hired by us to perform a remodel of a rental property we have in Lubbock. He ordered a security system in August 2013 which did not include the components we wanted; so we asked him to return the equipment. He verified by email that he sent the equipment back by [redacted] on August 27, 2013. However, the company did not receive it and despite numerous requests, [redacted] refused to provide a Fed Ex tracking number. I received a call from [redacted] (security company) a couple of weeks ago stating I was liable for the entire amount due to their failure to receive the equipment. It appears that he kept the equipment and used it in another job. I have forwarded all the above info to him and he now refuses to respond to my emails, calls, or texts.
