RE: ID [redacted] On Monday June 22nd [redacted] came into my Salon and purchased a tanning package for $20 that would allow her to tan that Monday-Friday. previous tanning history was not unreasonable. On Tuesday [redacted] came back and I asked her how 7 minutes was if she was pink at all, her response was 7 minutes had been fine and we discussed moving her up to 9 minutes, 15 minutes was never ever mentioned. At 9:26am [redacted] was put into tan for 9 minutes not 10:45 as she states. On Wednesday she came in and my employee Olivia put her into tan at 4:17 pm for 9 minutes, again stating that the time was fine and she was showing no signs of being pink or red. On both Tuesday and Wednesday she also chose to purchase a $4 packet of lotion she was not forced to buy them. Thursday at approximately 4pm I answered the phone to a person screaming at me about being burnt. During the couse of this conversation which she yelled the entire time, I never denied selling her the package or that she bad been in the Salon, she told me what I did was illegal, threatened to sue the business and me personally and she was going to have me shut down. Demanded a refund for the tanning and for two $6 packets of lotion. I asked her to come to the Salon that evening for her refund of $28 and she refused, she also refused to come in on Friday when I could meet with her as I was going to be out of town for the weedend. She said she would be in on Saturday. [redacted] finally came in on Sunday for her refund. Some things I would like to point out in her story. First if the cause of her bum had been soley from a tanning session on Tuesday when she came in on Wednesday it would have been visible. I have two witnesses, Olivia and the Massage Therapist who works in my Salon who say she was not at all pink or red even after her session that day. Also she did the entire 9 minutes on Wednesday, not 3 as she stated. Who takes a picture of a timer in the tanning bed, a picture that she says was taken at 10:45 but she tanned at my salon at 9:26 am. Why would she not come and talk to me face to face or bring the picture to show me. Also [redacted] spends a lot of time at the restaurant next door to the salon where her future [redacted] in Law, my employee [redacted] and my Daughter work. [redacted] went and sat in the sun at a base ball game that the [redacted] employee's were playing in Tuesday afternoon and floated the river with them on Thursday. Those activities may have played a part in her burn, I also know that she did go on her trip. All of this and [redacted] does not understand why I do not want her back in my establishment, what small business owner would. Sincerely, Cindy B[redacted] Owner, Island Oasis Tanning
