Last year, on the second week of September, [redacted] requested my services to fix some issues in the second floor hallway bedroom. One of the issues was that the bathroom floor had slope towards the bathtub, which I offered to fix. In order to replace the floor I had to remove the existing...

toilet. Connected to an existing drain line at that time I noticed that the collar attached to the drain line was higher than the tile floor. After the bathroom floor was re-leveled and tile floor installation was completed I proceed to install the toilet. I did use some plastic shims to set the toilet, with every plumber dose it if needed,  but the existing issue with the drain pipe had been a bit higher than the new tile floor. I applied some caulk between the tile floor and the toilet on the front and sides of the toilet not on the back of it, which I always do to prevent the toilet from moving (recommended by professional plumbers). When [redacted] contacted me he told me that the damage was over $2,000. Went I came to his house on October 17, I did not notice the presence of any mold around the affected area, a portion of 36”x 36” of drywall was removed by others from a ceiling soffit located in dining room, not attached to main ceiling in dining room. Even with knowing that the guarantee I offered to Mr[redacted] had expired at the time that he had contacted me regarding this issue. I am offering Mr[redacted] to reimburse for what it will cost me as a contractor to pay one of my employees to set a toilet: to patch, prime, and finish painting the soffit ceiling which is around 32 SQ, FT. I am not responsible for any expenses to re- arrange any drain lines.
