This is past history, but my experience with IRC Energy Services was almost exactly the same as the second reviewer above, except that they actually forged my signature on the release forms transferring my rebates to them. I discovered this when an employee of the The Gas Company contacted me to tell me that they were cutting the check to IRC. They said they had a form with my signature on it. I protested that I had never signed it, and after examining my signature, they agreed that it had been pasted into the form...rather crudely, I gather, because it was obvious to them. So, they sent the rebate check directly to me, and then they went to IRC and confronted them with the evidence of the forgery. I got this employee who called me and was present at that meeting. The IRC person, whose name I will not give, admitted that he had forged my signature and said it was an "error."
Shortly after that, IRC Energy Services went out of business. There is more to the story, but I don't think the perps were prosecuted for this, as they should have been.
