I have been a member of the Ipsos Consumer Panel of Canada for many, many years. They collect data on the purchase history of panel members every month via paper survey diaries for which they give points. These points can be accumulated and redeemed for rewards (gift cards or merchandise) from their gift catalog. In January 2019 they made changes to the panel whereby they are not sending paper diaries anymore and have moved online. They asked that all points should be redeemed by end of March. Their reward catalog does not have a gift card which I can redeem for based on the number of points I have. So, since gift cards can be loaded with any value nowadays, I requested a gift card such that most of my points can be used and only a few would go waste. But the Panel Coordinator, ***, is refusing to honor my request. I belong to many survey panels and I understand that things could change, but they should not let panel members' points go to waste. We spend time and effort filling out their diaries and this is the least they can do. *** is also taking too long to respond to my emails. I sent my initial redemption request email on 3rd Feb. She replied on Feb 6th that she can order only $10 gift card and so I wrote back on the same day saying that it was highly unfair and that they were *** me out of my hard-earned points and to please reconsider. She did not respond for more than a month and I sent another email on March 7th and she just said the same thing again in her reply on March 8th after not doing anything for a whole month.
I have provided a detailed explanation to ***. I want a $15 Canadian Tire gift card for the 3900 points that I have. Even this way, I still lose 150 points $10 Canadian Tire gift card is for 2500 points (in the gift catalog) $5 would be 2500/2 = 1250 points. So, 2500 + 1250 = 3750 points for $15 gift card and I have a total of 3900 points. I would also be happy to get a $15 cheque if their vendor does not have a $15 gift card. I want a quick resolution of this matter. Thank you
I received an email from ***, the panel coordinator. One $10 gift card was already mailed out. She said that "in appreciation of being a loyal panel member for many years" she has added some points to my account and redeemed them for another $10 gift card. I have received the two gift cards and am satisfied with the business response.
I greatly appreciate Revdex.com's help and am very thankful that you accepted my complaint and helped resolve it with the business. Thank you very much.
