If they are not willing to change the offer to [redacted], then I will take the second offer - fix the problem, * year warranty and [redacted] refund.I want to share with you that the reasons I asked for the refund is1. The issue was first reported to them. They declined to look at it and helped the first time.2. The second time, they denied the first contact and said it was because the third party fix the problem -- but they denied help and what should we have done? Let the pipe be broken then? We had to fix the probem with third party. So the third party really should NOT be blamed in my eyes. The fact that they did not come look and the second time said we did not contact them are good enough reasons for me to say that they need to refund us.Also, the amount I asked is per state farm rules which is based on goverment rules. Think about it - will state farm ever estimate anything higher than it is supposed to? Absolutely not right. So when the business say the [redacted] is too high, I really cannot agree. We did not come up with that number. The insurance company did based on goverment rules.

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.We reject the offer made by Inverness Homes to repair areas of raised, damaged or missing shingles that have not adequately sealed. We reviewed the roof inspection report that Inverness Homes provided and do not feel that this offer will correct the issue at hand. Inverness homes did not address the issue noted on page 3, item 3, which states that the fasteners are installed too high. This is the same problem that was noted by [redacted] as seen in the email we received from them, that is attached. Inverness homes has been aware of these issues for over a year and have been out to address them unsuccessfully multiple times. That would mean that the repairs have been subpar and only provided a temporary “band-aid” fix. We do not feel that Inverness Homes needs to attempt to repair these issues again when they have been unsuccessful at doing this multiple times in the past year. This is the reason we initially requested that the roof be redone by a third party roofer. Again, this is the second roof on our home that Inverness Homes has installed incorrectly in the 4 years since the home was built, which supports the reason we feel it necessary that a third party roofer reroof the home at the expense of Inverness Homes. We should not have to see these issues constantly continue on a brand new home. We are not asking for Inverness Homes to cover the cost of any upgraded materials. We are simply requesting that they cover the cost to reroof with the same type-shingle (3 tab, asphalt shingle) which is on the home currently. We were told in April 2016 that “if the repairs done at that time did not last for 6 months the roof would be reroofed.” The fact that Inverness Homes is requesting to “fix the current issues” is unsatisfactory, seeing as we had given them ample opportunities over the course of the 6 month time period that we were promised to do so. Since those repairs did not last, we expect Inverness Homes to stand behind their verbal agreement to replace the roof. We did what we were asked by giving them the chance to repair it and make it right at that time, which they were not able to do. The complete dishonesty, poor professionalism, and total lack of communication from Inverness Homes are unacceptable as a professional builder. Inverness Homes has shown to have, on numerous occasions, exhibited these negative patterns of behavior as noted in multiple other complaints as seen on the Revdex.com website. This is the reason why we deem it necessary that a third party roofer reroof the house and not allow Inverness Homes to “address these issues” any longer. This is the only sensible intervention that can resolve the issue properly at this time.
