Hello,
We already responded to the client on January 7th and advised that he is confirmed on the tripWe sent him a follow up email on the 12th but he never responded to either email
To give a bit of background, the client took
advantage of this promotion last year and made two bookings, but did not pay off his full balance nor travel on either trip
Current timeline:
12/18/The client e-mailed to ask if we were offering $promotion againAt this point he still had a trip booked from the previous year with $deposit that had not been canceled (despite him making micro-payments and receiving multiple emails about the booking throughout)This was booked in a different last name but used the same email address
1/4/He called to book an India trip for October 11th departure
1//He booked a different India trip online for October 5th departure (which would conflict with above trip)He had not canceled either of the above trips at this point
1/6/ We called him to ask him to please pay full deposit for which trip he wanted (the terms and conditions of this promotion state that a trip change requires full deposit)
1/7/@ 11:17am After his initial email complaint, we offered to confirm him on the trip
1/12/We followed up asking for a passport *** (marked urgent)
Despite him not responding to our correspondence (both email and voicemail), he is currently confirmed on the trip in question
I hope you *** consider this matter resolved

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I conditionally accept their offer with the caveat that they honor my booking discount of 10% using my "Nomadic Matt" discount which they originally were going to do, but didn't after I threatened a Revdex.com complaint The offer code is XXXXX They had originally applied the booking discount WITH the offer but later rescinded the offer

The terms and conditions of the Dollar Deposit promotion are clear:

They state:
The offer can be applied to new bookings onlyUnder no circumstances *** offer be applied to existing bookings or used in conjunction with another offer or discount
Additionally it states:
The $deposit is applicable on Intrepid group trips only, and cannot be applied to airfares, trip kitties, travel insurance, extra accommodation, single supplements or visas etc
The passenger *** not returned phone calls about paying for his single supplement that he requestedNor has he emailed or returned phone calls indicating that he "conditionally accepted our offer."
We are trying to work with this passenger, but it is confusing, to say the least, that he refuses to communicate with us directly

After this complaint was closed due to non-response by the business, they followed through on the refund we negotiatedI can't say I understand why they didn't respond to you, but I am satisfied with the refund and feel they met their obligations to me in this case
