The business is not refunding monies paid for a timeshare getaway stay. I cancelled my timeshare reservation due to the COVID-19 or coronavirus pandemic. Instead of refunding my money, the business told me that I could only get a credit to be used in 2020 towards another vacation. My vacation was scheduled for April 3-10, 2020 in a large hotel type facility. Interval International is withholding a monetary refund at a time where money is needed for day to day living due to coronavirus and the financial repercussions for individuals as well as business. This is a national emergency and an unexpected extreme of nature. I would hope that a force majeure would allow me to get a full refund of the money Siena fir a vacation.

Dear Resolution Specialist:
Ms. was requesting a refund for cancellation of her timeshare reservation due to the Covid-19
pandemic. Interval’s Correspondence Specialists spoke with Ms. and has issued her a refund
for the full amount of $152.19.
Best regards,
Sandra B
Representatives misled us about material matters concerning the contract despite being directly asked for explanation. Had us sign a contract that we could not afford despite being clear about our responsibilities and what we were willing to accept to. Attempted resolution but insisting that we pay a price we did not originally agree to. I have doubts of validity of contract due to two factors or being intoxicated during the transaction and shortly after transaction I fell ill to viral meningitis. Interval International is using a Panama based company called Ancora s.a to deceive vacation goers into contracts for memberships that are deceptive and absurdly expensive. Their credit checks are nonexistent and lack proper policies to avoid signing members with the lack of income to support the expense. This should not be allowed and is abuse of power and trust in consumers. I would prefer to cancel my membership with them as I have not used any of their offered services nor do I have any intention of doing so. Their policies shouldn’t allow low income individuals to purchase an loan equal or more to the amount their annual income. We went through numbers and everything with the representatives to ensure we are able to maintain our responsibilities. But after everything was signed and agreed upon there were extra charges not disclosed and specifically omitted despite inquiry. No company should aim to bankrupt low income families.
