I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.  We had only received the one invoice, which was cancelled upon receipt of it via mail. I confirmed that we had not received any additional invoices through accounting, or letter in regards to the delinquent bill going to collections. The only time we heard from anyone was the phone call from the collection agency. My immediate supervisor explained that we would not pay the invoice due to the fact that it had been cancelled.I thought it was strange that a company would ask for birth month and day, and should've questioned it at the time. As far as I understood, I did what was asked of me for cancelling the service, and never heard anything again until August 18th.

We just received this complaint from your
organization. After careful review of this customer's complaint we now have dead-filed the account stopping all collection activity as a courtesy to this company and Progressive Business Publications was notified. There will not be a balance due on this...
