International Toyota advertises used vehicles on the internet specifically a 2007 Honda CR-V with 35,000 miles. I emailed the dealership and they called me back the night of 02/26/20 . I asked if it was available and what the history of the vehicle is. The saleswoman told me that the vehicle had just arrived and it was in pristine shape, a local trade with a great service history. It would be available to see on the morning of 02/27/20. I took a half a day of vacation drove down to the dealership arrived at 9 a.m. only to be informed that the vehicle was not available because it had a deposit on it and was being sold to an employee. Totally unethical practice as far as I’m concerned. The vehicle is still up for sale on the website as I write this.
We understand the frustration of the situation. Customer inquired on the availability of the vehicle on 02/26/2020. It was available at the time the vehicle was inquired on however it was sold to an employee's parents on the close of business day 02/26/2020. Our intent was to contact the customer the following morning to let him know this vehicle was sold but it was too late since he showed up at the exact time we open for business at 9:00AM on the following day. We will offer the customer one full tank of gas any time he is in the neighborhood, feel free to stop by anytime.
Phoned this place regarding purchase of vehicle. Explained my credit, etc. They said could do a loan and knew specifically what vehicle and price that I was looking at. Drove 1 1/2 hours there to test drive and purchase. Was told that I could not purchase because I needed to buy something newer (2013 vehicle or newer). They knew what I wanted, price, etc. and even had the car running/warmed up when I arrived. They were using tactics to get me to purchase a higher priced vehicle. Also told me that my credit score was 52 points lower than it is. (I reran it myself when got home). Then, I find out they ran my credit on the 14th of February, WITHOUT my permission!! Also, it was "hit" 4 other times today from them in their "searching".... Bad business. I am trying to have the info removed from the credit bureau search.
I took my 2001 Subaru Forester in for repairs on 1/17/2020. The vehicle had recently failed an emissions test due to a PO304 code (cylinder #4 misfire). I provided their service department with this printed failed emissions test result which included the specific problem code listed.
Upon their own diagnostics and testing they verified the presence of the PO304 code and relating issues. They stated the problem was due to bad spark plugs, a cylinder #4 spark plug wire and coil and recommended replacement of these parts. After their guarantee that this would resolve the issue I had them proceed with the recommended repairs.
Exactly one day after the repairs were completed the vehicles Check Engine Light came once again and the same code PO304 reappeared. The #4 cylinder misfire issue remained. I went back to the dealership immediately to discuss the problem. They were completely unwilling to take any responsibility for the misdiagnosis. In addition they had absolutely no inclination to offer any help or resolution for their mistake. I attempted to work toward some type of agreement, but no offer was made to me of any kind. No refunds, partial or otherwise, nor any offer of discount toward potential future repair to actually address and fix the issue which still remains.
I purchased a used vw jetta from this location. I hadn't even put on 4,000 miles and had to replace breaks and had 3 major engine malfunctions. total repairs equaled over $1,000. The vehicle they sold me was supposedly 1 owner with clean history. I was lied to and given misinformation just to close a sale.
Don't buy a vehicle from group if you would expect action concerning a problem you are experiencing after purchase. Helpful and courteous this group also is not. We purchased a 2018 Toyota Highlander from here last November with an incentive of a $1,000 return in cash from Toyota after purchase. We paid cash for this car as we have for 3 previous purchases from this dealer. We did not receive the $1,000 return cash as agreed upon at purchase time. Calls to the salesperson as well as a "manager" have produced only negative results and some rudeness. We suggest consumers go elsewhere to purchase a Toyota make vehicle. I can easily understand why this business is not Revdex.com accredited.
I am writing to express some dissatisfaction with International Subaru. I have purchased two new Subaru’s from your dealership in the past seven years. I have also referred your dealership to two of my nieces whom purchased vehicles from you. However, after recent events; I will never refer any family member or associate to International Subaru.
My first complication with International Subaru occurred when my vehicles’ oil light kept coming on. This continuous problem lasted for a couple of years. During that time; your service team would top off the oil and no further diagnostic testing was done to prevent the oil light from coming on again. After verbal frustration with International Subaru (when clearly there was also a recall which I just found out about & I feel the Service Dept. should have known before me); the service team completed an oil consumption test. During this time period; several references and/or excuses were made to me explaining how a vehicle is similar to a human. I found this analogy to be derogatory and distasteful. I was very frustrated. After contacting the Service Manager; the appropriate attempts were made to correct my vehicle. And I’m thankful for that.
The second complication I encountered with International Subaru was wanting to cancel the extended warranty on the second vehicle I recently purchased. I was advised to meet face-to-face with Mike after 4:00pm. When I came to your dealership; I waited for one hour and I had to repeatedly ask the receptionist to page him (Because nobody bothered to greet me or ask what I am here for). After waiting for an inappropriately prolonged period of time; I decided to leave. Let it be known that to this day; no one from International Subaru has responded to my request for help to cancel the extended warranty on my vehicle besides letting me know I had to contact the prior owner of Lakeland. (The previous owner told me that this was something International could have helped me with, after he helped me.)
The atmosphere is not friendly like it used to be at your dealership. I will definitely never purchase a vehicle from here again. International Subaru hasn’t made any justification for the delayed service nor have you taken any liability in your mistakes and mistrust.
It’s too bad because everybody was nice when they wanted my money until I purchased the vehicle, then the service just went downhill from there. I was in the market for a new Subaru and IF these little things didn’t happen, I would have purchased from International again.
I saw a used car advertised online and drove to this location. The salesperson informed me that it had not been inspected yet but got the keys and let me look at it I liked it and he told me that I could put $500 down and as soon as it was inspected take it for a test drive and have first dibs so I did so. Two days later I called and dealt with the used car manager Jack. Jack informed me that after inspection of the car there was over $2,000 worth of things that they would need to fix. He tried to pressure me into signing the paperwork to buy the car without me first getting to test drive it. When I said no I'd like to test drive it first that was the agreemen he went ballistic on the phone and said he didn't want to deal with someone like me and was refunding my money and backed out of the deal. This was a very bad experience that I had with this company. Go elsewhere! I can't believe that a large company such as this would allow such a rude person to deal with the public
When we agreed to purchase a 2018 Honda Odyssey Elite from IA in Sheboygan we were promised 0% financing for 3 months and after 3 months our buy out would be the full amount of the vehicle. We did this because the employee in their finance department said the company was not doing good and could they could use the extra kickback from the banks. I was leery because I didn't require financing and was prepared to pay the balance in full. I eventually agreed to help the employee in his cause. I regret that immensely. Our "0%" immediately went to Chase and was more like 5.6% with a buyout after the 3 months of $1200 more than what I was promised. I called and tried to work this out the dealer and they are only willing to refund me 3 months of financing which is roughly $280. This is not fair in my mind.

I recently purchased a used vehicle from IA Subaru. The salesman and other sales staff were professional, but when I called and asked to speak to a sales manager regarding an issue, the sales manager, Jack, was not only rude and disrespectful to me, but also hung up on me. He was extremely unprofessional. He did not have any concern for me as a customer or the purpose of my call. Regardless of what the issue was about, I was treated horribly by this manager which was unprofessional and uncalled for. I will not be bringing my hard earned money to this dealership ever again. IA Subaru has lost my future business, as well as my recommendation to others after my first and only transaction. As a resolution, I would like to see this manager reprimanded and/or terminated for his behavior and an apology offered.
I was searching online for cars to purchase and this dealership is advertising a 2012 Nissan Versa with 246,009 miles on it, the advertised price is 697.00 . I then called them to check availability and they said they have and it is not that price, they said it is 4000 and I said that isn't what is being advertised and this car has a large amount of miles is why I thought the advertised price is what the car is, the 697.00. I feel it is wrong to false advertise and I feel the dealership should be held accountable.
This was a clerical error that has been addressed and fixed. We will not be selling the vehicle for $697.00.
I purchased my 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan on 7/08/2014 I also purchased a 60 month 100000 mile Extended Warranty I currently have 95700 miles on it I took it to the shop on 11/27/2017 to check the shift modulator another shop said it was leaking and needs to be replaced they said the needed to get permission from American Guardian the warranty company and they would call me back ,I never received a call back I called them three times and left voice mails and they still didn't call back I even stopped back in on 11/29/2017 and the person in service said he hasn't heard back from them its been almost a month now
As of 12/26 we are still waiting to hear back from the warranty company on whether or not they will cover the repairs. If they will, we will proceed with scheduling the repair. The GM was off for the holiday weekend, *** the Used Car manager followed up with him this morning on the status. *** is going to contact the warranty company again to see where they are at with approving or denying the claim.

While test-driving a used Honda minivan, the salesman showed me on the drivers-side sliding door that there was a sunshade that could be raised or lowered. It worked at that time. However, between the test drive and when I took possession of the vehicle, the shade was broken. I called the salesman immediately the next day. I brought the van to the dealership and they said, because of the cost ($250 parts and labor) they couldn't help me. I left a message for the sales manager, didn't receive a call back. When I called back, the manager told me he couldn't help me and hung up on me.
Bottom line: The salesman denies that he broke it and the dealership refuses to pay for the repair.
As of 12/26 International Autos is offering the split the cost of the sun shade repair with the customer. The van she purchased was "as is" and the sun shade is a not a safety item.

Good morning,In regards to complaint # ***, I have heard from the company several times; one time via phone regarding some paperwork that they needed me to sign, and two e-mails which I will forward soon. I haven't heard from the company since I rejected their offer to pay half--as I stated in my reply on your portal, since I paid for the shade to be in the same working condition it was in during the test drive, it is not right that I should be expected to pay to have it brought back to that working condition when it was broken while still in possession of the company.I have since had a warning light go on in the van, but I haven't wanted to contact the company regarding this potential problem. Finally, I received the vehicle registration in the mail and it stated that the vehicle was previously titled in Florida...however, the vehicle was advertised online and in-person as a 1-(non-commercial) owner local trade. That's an outright lie that would have probably caused me to purchase a different vehicle elsewhere. Thanks for your help, I will forward those communications to your e-mail with the complaint # in the subject line.Sincerely
