Integrity Home Inspections, Incis hired by potential buyers of homes to have our inspectors point out defects throughout the home that may impact the buyers in the futureThis complaint is the sellers opinionThis particular inspector who performed the home inspection on the sellers house has
completed over ten thousand home inspections and is a very accomplished professionalIntegrity Home Inspections, Inctried to set up an appointment with the seller and any contractor that the seller chose to go over any of their concerns, but have yet to hear backIntegrity Home Inspections completely stands behind the reports accuracyWe have since done another inspection for the buyer and he is completely satisfied with our companyThe buyers realtor stated the sellers had another buyer in place and did not want to perform any repairs, so the sellers moved on to the other buyersWe would be happy to submit a copy of the report for your review
Obviously we have a difference of opinion in this matter, we are sorry if our inspection has caused you distress We are by Washington State Law required to report the condition of the homes we are hired to inspect Our client was the prospective buyer of the home, we had no contract with the seller and no obligation to try to make her happy based on her opinions or the opinions of other people We have been in business for years and have a very good reputation, it is unfortunate when there is a difference of opinion in the work performed however we are under a legal obligation to report things as we see them We wish you all the best in the future and hope this helps you move forward
Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: Untrue that we had another buyer in place. We did not have another buyer and had to put the house back on the marketThe second inspection did not turn up most of what the 1st inspection noted. We did not have to: put a sump pump under the house nor did we have to regrade the back of the house to keep water (which was not happening) from under the houseThe roof was inspected by other roofers/inspectors with the result being:no repairs neededWe did not have to have certificated licensed contractors to do any of the work that the 2nd inspection revealed as the list was so short and easy to take care of there was no needYour inspector went beyond reasonable to note things. He also broke our storm door which we had to fix (he denied it), twisted one of the drain pipes out and took a picture, claimed it needed a "certified licensed contractor" to fix, he left the heat pump on degrees and he messed with the floor heat (claimed it had a short, it doesn't) and I had to reset itThe inspection report read like a guy who didn't know what he was doingThe owner wanted to know what I wanted, claimed he wanted to meet with their agent and my agent. I didn't want anything other than an apology for killing the deal and the company admitting their inspector went over the top in noting nonexistent issues.Sincerely,*** ***
Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: Your inspector based HIS opinion on the condition of the house and not the true condition, noting things there were over the top in livability of the house. I was not aware that an inspection company is supposed to note sticking dead bolts or holes dug by dogs, (which is not a part of the house by the way) or damage the owners property in doing the inspection. It appears that pride is the issue and not good business practices. It's a shame that this company and it's owner will not accept responsibility for the actions of his employee. I'm not asking for money, only that they admit that the inspector went too far, letting the buyer and their agent know and apologizing for killing the deal. I suppose I will need to pursue this further through a different venue.Sincerely,[redacted]
