For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[The words "Captial Improvement" were never discussedThe only reason I even know this terminology was because a week later, I had another business come to my home for landscaping work, quoted us a price and indicated that there will be no tax because it is considered a Captial ImprovementI then did further research on what this mentWe, again, were under the impression that *** was working FOR Innovations, not just some random Contractor recommended BY this companyCabinet prices and installation were included in the email, yesAnd per the email, if I were to have ordered the Cherry Cumberland with cushion close I would have expected a bill from Innovations for $But we didn't go with these cupboards, we went with a completely different set and installation was never discussed again, so when I received a bill for $4986.00, I would expect an all in one bill including the installationI've never, EVER, paid a contractor directly for workReceipt only shows "cabinets" as being a part of the order, but since this isn't an itemized receipt, I wouldn't expect to see things broken down to the what cabinets (sizes), delivery or installation includedWhile picking out hardware for the cabinets, I asked if there was an installation cost for that, I was informed, "it was all included." While you had attempted to lay it out "clearly" to my on how you aren't accountable for installation cost, you failed to from the get-goAgain, if I was aware that a $cost of installation was an ADDITION, I would never have went with TomI have family in construction that could have done it for $The meeting only lasted as long as it did because of your intimidation tactics and threatsThe courtesy credit was ONLY offered if I would refer this businessI was more upset after that slap in the face meeting, than I was before I walked inTo assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]Regards,*** ***
-Capital improvement or tax exemption on material only applies if the product is installed by Innovations. (explained during the sales process) Further more a signed Capital Improvement form would have been signed as required by New York State.-Contractor was referred by Innovations not...
sub-contracted.-Installation cost was sent via the attached email on 2/11/16. Cabinet pricing options werelisted separately from the installation cost. The cabinets were purchased on 3/5/16.-Our invoice [redacted] clearly indicates cabinets as being the only part of the order, tax is also indicated on this document (attached).l<l]001/005Customer originally called and stated that she was interested in cabinet re-facing andthat she had received a quote from another company for $8,000-$10,000. We told her that we do not offer re-facing services but would be happy to price new cabinets. We then referred a contractor to her and a price was given that states the contractor would install the cabinets for$1,000. The cabinets were purchased on 3/7/16 and the customer was handed a receipt for the purchase of cabinets. The cabinets were delivered on 4/6/16. Shortly after delivery the customer scheduled installation through the referred contractor. Upon completion of the install the customer went to the contractors house and paid him directly. The customer then requested a meeting with us stating she felt "misled". At that meeting we laid out our correspondence and stated that we were in no way accountable for installation cost. After having a positive meeting we thought things had been resolved and offered a courtesy credit inhopes of maintaining a positive relationship where she was comfortable referring our business.The customer also stated that she was happy with the cabinets and the installation. We standby the fact that we gave her a better price and better service than she would have received elsewhere. Sincerely, Innovations by VP
