with the subwoofer not workingOne of the voice coils on the subwoofer was blownThe hole in the woofer affects how it performsWe believe the hole in the woofer over time caused the voice coil to burn upBecause one voice coil is blown it was causing resistance on the wire which causes heatThe easiest place to release the heat is at a connectionThat is why the plastic on the box where the wires go in is meltedIf the subwoofer did not have a hole in it we would have replaced the woofer at no charge to the customerBut because there is a hole in it we would not be able to warranty it
