Review: My boyfriend and I live in the neighborhood and we've gone to Indian Road many times. However, we noticed that when we pay for the bill, if I pay with cash, I end up paying exactly the amount that is described on the check. However, when we pay using our debit/credit cards, the amount that they charged onto our card is completely different from what is debited from our accounts. This has occurred several times to my boyfriend. Sometimes $2 here, sometimes $2 there. But on Friday 10/*/2013, I paid for a bill that was $32.94. In addition, my boyfriend and I tipped $10 in cash. However, several days later, $39.53 is debited from my account. Almost $7 overcharged. My boyfriend was also overcharged almost $7 since we split the bill. We've talked to the managers about this and they always try to come up with an excuse. I believe this business siphons money from their customers, little by little hoping no one would notice. But this is the third time this has happened to us. I will be reporting this to my credit card company.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund and also a serious investigation into the matter. Management is either complicit or does not know that this is going on.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved. After discussing with the owner, this is an Authorization Hold for a 20% tip amount that stays on the card for 24-48 hours. Eventually, the correct amount is debited from my account a few days later. The owner has informed me he would look into it and I have requested he inform diners if paying with cash and card that there will be a 20% hold.
