I explained that I have had problems in the past with ice building up under the shingles and seeping into the house. I told him the gutter along the eaves had busted and one corner was hanging. He suggested I put a rubber roofing along the eave. This would melt the ice and it would slide off. He said I wouldn't need to replace the eave's trough.He did the job and I paid him $ 5,600.00. The winter of 2011-2012 was without any problems. The next winter (2012-2013) we had much more snow .,During the winter I heard loud noises from slabs of ice sliding off the roof and hitting something. In the spring I saw a lot of damage to the vinyl siding where the ice had hit it. I got the siding repaired at a cost to me of $ 350.00.I have contacted [redacted] the owner/mgr. of Indep. Roofing on four different occasions to take care of this roof problem starting in April. Each phone call he promises to come to my house and discuss a solution to the problem but he never shows up!Desired SettlementI'm asking for your help to get this situation rectified before the winter comes. I have copies of the roof job and the repair work done on the siding by a different company.Business Response Dear [redacted],I received your letter today regarding the above-referenced case for Mr. [redacted]. We were suppose to do some additional work for Mr. [redacted] which we said would be completed before the winter starts. Evidently Mr. [redacted] got nervous and contacted you. I spoke to Mr. [redacted] this morning, he apologized and said he would be contacting you immediately to let you know this has been resolved. We never received a letter from you previously nor had we heard from Mr. [redacted] other than his initial call this summer. Out of our 43 years in business we have never heard from you other than your solicitations for our firm to join your organization.Sincerely,[redacted] A. Think they was another stall and I would like to keep the complaint open until they actually begin some work. thanks
