I saw a vehicle on their website that I was interested in buying The first day I stopped by to look at the vehicle, it was parked around back, the salesman told me it needed some work and should be ready by the next day I called the next day again inquiring about the same vehicle, he told me that is was in fact repaired and back on the lot I then said I would head up there and like to take it for a test drive His response was " you can test drive it if your going to buy it today" I thought it was a joke, but soon found out when I arrived that he was serious I met with the same salesperson I saw the previous day and asked him a few questions about the car After a short conversation, I asked him if I could take it for a test drive He looked at me and asked me if I was ready to buy the car today I was a bit shocked by this question, I have never been asked that before a test drive before He then went on to tell me that they regularly do not allow people to test drive their cars, I found that a bit odd I told him that I was not ready to buy a car that day, I had only begun looking and just wanted to know how the car drove, and fit me He then told me that I could not drive the car I told him I would have to go find a similar car elsewhere to drive, thanked him and went on my way Its not like I was asking to drive a $40,corvette, I was looking at a $6,used car with 160,miles on it Also, I pulled up in an almost brand new truck that cost more than cars on their lot combined Really, would someone even consider buying a car they were not able to test drive? I understand that everyone has the right to run their business how they choose, but I will never be going back to this car dealer to even look at another car I will be buying a car from a different dealership Good luck to you In and Out Auto!
I saw a vehicle on their website that I was interested in buying. The first day I stopped by to look at the vehicle, it was parked around back, the salesman told me it needed some work and should be ready by the next day. I called the next day again inquiring about the same vehicle, he told me that is was in fact repaired and back on the lot. I then said I would head up there and like to take it for a test drive. His response was " you can test drive it if your going to buy it today". I thought it was a joke, but soon found out when I arrived that he was serious. I met with the same salesperson I saw the previous day and asked him a few questions about the car. After a short conversation, I asked him if I could take it for a test drive. He looked at me and asked me if I was ready to buy the car today. I was a bit shocked by this question, I have never been asked that before a test drive before. He then went on to tell me that they regularly do not allow people to test drive their cars, I found that a bit odd. I told him that I was not ready to buy a car that day, I had only begun looking and just wanted to know how the car drove, and fit me. He then told me that I could not drive the car. I told him I would have to go find a similar car elsewhere to drive, thanked him and went on my way. Its not like I was asking to drive a $40,000 corvette, I was looking at a $6,000.00 used car with 160,000 miles on it. Also, I pulled up in an almost brand new truck that cost more than 6 cars on their lot combined. Really, would someone even consider buying a car they were not able to test drive? I understand that everyone has the right to run their business how they choose, but I will never be going back to this car dealer to even look at another car. I will be buying a car from a different dealership. Good luck to you In and Out Auto!
