Impressive Interiors Reviews (1)

Review: During June 2009, [redacted] AKA [redacted] remodeled my kitchen with new countertops, cabinets etc. I

contacted him on 6/*/13 because one of the formica counter tops had a big bubble where it loosened up from the plywood base.

It was on the opposite wall from the water lines. He came over & checked it out on 6/*. I offered to pay him to repair it. He said

he would only charge me for me for a new sheet of matching formica which he would order. I called him on 6/**, 6/**, 7/**, &

7/**. On 7/** & 7/** I left word on his voice mail. I suspected something so on 7/** I called him from a cell phone & he answered

& said he would call back & do the job 8/*. On 8/* I called & left word again. No call Back. He had told me that he purchased

the last piece of the matching formica. I have had a couple of contractors come to estimate the cost to repair. I was told

tht not enough glue was used in the initial remodeling and a contractor does not want to clean up someone else's mess.Desired Settlement: I want the counter top repaired with the piece of matching formica he told me he bought.

Response:

Dear [redacted]:

Regarding your letter sent to- me on October *, 2013, I [redacted] president of Impressive Interiors am appalled at [redacted]'s accusation of me designing a faulty work and not using enough glue as a bubble occurred in the middle of her countertop 4 years AFTER the job as completed.

If you look at the bubble in her countertop, you would see it's in the middle of the countertop across from the stove. This problem is caused by putting a very hot pot on the countertop without some kind of trivet underneath the pot to protect the countertop, which when unprotected is called a heat bubble. If there was not enough glue on the countertops, the edges and sides would be peeling off. Just ask her to send you a picture of the bubble or send someone there in person to look at it You will see that this problem was caused by her not using trivets or pot holders to protect the Formica countertops. Whether in the pictures or in person, you will also notice what a great job Idid.

As for not calling her back, that is not true, we had a conversation over the phone and she wanted me to replace the countertop in 2 weeks because she was having family over and I told her I wasn't available because Iwas working on another job and couldn't be available in that time frame. I haven't heard from her after that conversation. She hasn't called my office, nor my cell phone, nor left a message. In surmise of this complaint, I believe [redacted] is trying to have me provide all necessary paper work for the co-op board to replace her countertop 4 years later that no other reputable contractor would do, knowing that the bubble was self-inflicted by not using the correct counter protection for hot pots.

[redacted]'s complaint is false and has no merit. Being that I have not heard from her in 4 months besides from this Revdex.com complaint, I have no intentions of replacing her countertop.

Sincerely,

Business

Response:

Iam following up in reference to [redacted]'s complaint, I, [redacted] president of Impressive Interiors am a respectful and reputable contractor, her accusation of me "playing game", is absurd. Like Imentioned in my first letter Iam appalled at [redacted]'s accusation of me designing faulty work and not using enough glue as a bubble occurred in the middle of her countertop 4 years AFTER the job was completed.

As for not calling her back that is not true, we had a conversation over the phone and she wanted me to replace the countertop in 2 weeks because she was having family over and I told her I wasn't available because I was working on another job and couldn't be available in that time frame. Since that last conversation with her, I haven't heard from he. She hasn't called my office, nor my cell phone, nor left a message.

As for [redacted] saying that I purchased the last piece of her Formica design ([redacted]), I NEVER said that, this too is false. Please note that this is the LAST response Iwill give to [redacted]'s complaint. as the complaint has no merit

Once again, being that I have not heard from her in 4 months besides from this second Revdex.com complaint, I have no intentions of replacing her countertop. The End.

Sincerely,

Consumer

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]

I am responding to the correspondence I received on 11/**/13. On my response I sent 10/**/13, I listed all the attempts I made to contact

him to no avail. When I spoke to him in June, he said he was going to Florida for July [redacted] to visit his sister; so I waited a few weeks for him to

get back. I was very patient about it. I still have the 2 calls to him on my outgoing call list on my cell, if you wish to see them.

After waiting, I wanted to get the countertop repaired because I was going to have company; who ended up cancelling because of their personal problem.

George told me several times that he had ordered the formica & was awaiting delivery. He also stated it was the last piece of that design.

The formica used on the backsplash is loose now also.

I have a copy of his license which shows the name [redacted]. He uses the name [redacted]. I can fax you a copy if you don't believe me.

This all could have been avoided if he would have told me in the beginning the design was discontinued. I would have paid for new countertops, if he would have given me a little discount. The countertops would not be formica that is for sure; but I was strung along instead.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Sincerely,
