Review: [redacted], owner of Imported Cars of Stamford sold me a 2003 Audi A4 Quattro under mendacious representation of vehicle. Mr. [redacted] sold me the car claiming it had 63, 634 miles for $8,500. After taking the car to an Audi dealership and an independent mechanic both in [redacted], I found out the the odometer had been tampered with, and the miles the car represented when I was sold the car was significantly lower than the actual miles the car is suppose to bear. After I confronted Mr. [redacted] with this, he demanded that I bring the car only to him and no one else and he would take care of it. He told me that the miles were only rolled back by 3 to 5 miles because he was changing the timing belt on the car and when they had it suspended in the air, the emergency brake was not up which caused the miles to roll back by a maximum of 5 miles. Mr. [redacted] brother in law, [redacted], informed me that the odometer was rolled back significantly. I demanded a refund of $8,300 which I paid Mr. [redacted] and for him to come pick up his vehicle. He has ignored my calls, text messages, and any and all communication avenues I have utilized to contact him. I reported the case to the DMV Consumer Complaints of Connnecticut, but the woman, [redacted], who was handling my case knows Mr. [redacted] and informed me that she would not go further with the case because Mr. [redacted] is ill.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund of the amount I paid for the vehicle and Mr. [redacted] needs to come pick up his car. The car was sold to me under false pretenses of the miles the car actually represented. DMV informed me that the car supposedly was abandoned and could have been stolen because the information of the car is unknown.
