Ilan knocked on my door to offer his services with my needing tree trimming and removal of 2 trees and debris. We walked my property in Winter Springs with him showing me everything he and his crew would do, and agreed to a price of $2000. I had a doctor's appointment and had to leave before he was done with the job. He told me they would be done before I got back. He asked to please leave the money with him, he'd appreciate it so then he wouldn't have to drive back. He told me I could trust him to finish and if I had any complaints he would come back to satisfy me. When I got back, he was gone. Half of one of the trees he was to take down remains, with a huge portion of it "hung up" in a tree next to it. Large portions of trees were left in my yard and planters and he broke a flag pole and holder. He and his crew took off with the $2000 cash almost as soon as I left for the doctor's. My wife called him and he told her some equipment had failed, and he would have to come back the next day... a day before we were leaving on a planned driving trip. When I called him, he told me he was in the hospital from a bad auto accident and sent me a picture of a drivable black Camaro with a couple of dents in a side panel. Once we returned from our trip to see everything was still as we had left it, my wife called him again. He said he would be out "Monday or Tuesday of next week". My wife called him Monday to get an estimate of the time he would be here and he has not returned the call. When I called, there was no answer and his voice mailbox was full. This is a dishonest person. This is partially my fault. Never, NEVER pay in full (cash) for a job that is not complete. I already knew this, but my faith in goodness overcame my caution to not trust anyone I don't know. Noting the other complaints here, it seems typical of this guy to take off as soon as he had the money and the opportunity. Ilan and his crew are NOT professionals, and most likely do not have insurance to cover anything they damage. Think about that if they accidently drop a tree limb through your roof. Don't hire these guys, find someone else.

On May 8 Ilan Tree Service was payed $250 to trim an oak tree in the front yard. He started the job then left and never came back.
On May 8 service in the amount of $250 was payed for and never delivered. The owned was working are neighborhood for tree trimming jobs when I agreed to have him trim our tree. I gave him a check for the amount and he started the job then he said he had to run an errand and never came back. After a few hours I decided to cancel the check and found he already cashed it. I have been calling him daily up to May 20 and he keeps telling me he is coming out but never does.

My husband and I hired this company to trim several trees around my yard and remove the debris as well as a pile of tree trimming debris on the side of our yard. We paid $900 CASH for the service. This trimmer was skilled but seemed to be rushed by the owner. I had to run out for a few minutes and my husband stated that there appeared to be some type of disagreement between the owner and his workers. The owner left the workers and his workers did a horrible, messy job of cleaning up debris and piling it on the side of road our street, on our good St. Augustine grass. Big tree limbs a foot in the road were creating hazards. We had to cut and re-stack all of the debris so it would not hurt a passerby's. Also, they left many limbs and branches all over the back yard and did not even rake or clean up the mess they made in the pool area. The owner advised my husband that I told them they could pick it up Monday (NOT TRUE) against my husband's better judgment he paid them. The full amount without holding back half until the job was completed. He made the owner write a receipt on the back of a business card stating they will be back Monday. My husband said he had the cash and he was trying to leave as fast as he could. He even stated that we could file a complaint against his license if he did not come back. Needless to say...excuse after excuse with promises - the debris is still there, and it is 4/25/2019. The debris pile killed all my grass, and it will cost me another $500 to have it taken away. We have to wait until this weekend, hoping that the new contractor will show up. Our neighbors have complained and threatened to call code enforcement. It is a fire hazard. We want a refund for the work the company did not perform. We were very patient and understood things happen, but lies and deceit are bad business. We will be seeking legal recourse for the additional fees paid to remove all the debris (both places) and for the sod and installation fees. Not professional.

The business does not have the most highly skilled arborers in town, and the crew do not conduct themselves like corporate professionals. At first glance they resemble a jail release work program. Keep in mind tree cutting services do not require a high school diploma or political correctness one is accustomed to in corporate America.

Work was done as agreed upon, no damage or problems so in conclusion my simple but dangerous tree cutting needs were met by this company without fail.

Contracted work was not completed but was paid for in full. Owner promised to finish job but wouldn't return.
Contracted with Ilan Tree Service October 19, 2018 to conduct hedge trimming, oak tree trimming, and palm tree trimming plus removal of debris for the sum of $650 in cash. The job was 80% completed with two queen palms remaining due to a rain storm. It was agreed that Ilan would return on Monday, Oct 22, to trim the palms. Ilan returned Monday with crew and trimmed the smaller of the two palms but didn't have the equipment to trim the larger palm. He promised to return on Wednesday, Oct 24 to finish the taller palm and haul off remaining tree debris. Ilan failed to return on the 24th and was called on Oct 30th with again a promise to return of Friday, Nov 2nd to finish the job. Ilan again failed to show up as promised. Ilan was once again called of Monday, Nov 5th and once again promised to come by no later than Friday, Nov 9th to finish the job. It was during this last phone call that it became obvious Ilan was becoming annoyed with my persistence he return and finish the agreed upon work when he made the statement "what's the problem, it's only one palm tree". Once again, Ilan never showed up.

THIS MAN IS A FALSE!! HES A LIAR AND A THEAF HE STOLE MONEY FROM MY KIDS DO NOT CONTACT THIS MAN HES FULL OF ALL THE LIES YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!

I hired Ilan M. With Ilan Tree Service to cut down a tree, clean all the broken limbs off of other trees, stump grind and take away all from the house
He cut the tree to 3 feet high and filled the entire front of the house with debris and never came back when he was paid in full to do all of this! He had told me he had to get an a permit to cut such tree which was a lie! Altamonte Springs Arbor permit has no such permit and top of it he has no license to run a business or any insurance to do any or such work! This guy is a scam and I want everyone to stay away from this con artist! I want him to either come back and finish the job which he has been fully paid for or need a refund of $1000 to have someone else finish his work! I gave him $2500 dollars and he will not return texts or phone calls!!! He is a rip-off artist!
