Not very military freindly. I deployed and needed to change my address, however their (somewhat dated) policy requires an ink signature to confirm the address change. There was no mail available where I was and I had emailed them repeadtley to get this straightended out. Long story shot - my account was temporarily shut off because I didn't give them an ink signature and it cost (and is still costing) me hundreds of dollars both in late fees and one increased interest rate. I'll be paying for that policy for the next year...
Their debit cards also do not work overseas. I don't know how many times I called them and told them I needed to use a local ATM. Each time they told me my card was all set and the acccount was noted. I was never able to use the card and had to borrow money from people with better banks and them pay them back at the end of the deployment. Very annoying and unprofessional (and it makes me look like a jerk).
Overall their customer service isn't bad and I've been using them for a few years. They have decent interest rates as well and an awesome "intelligent checking" account that pays well. However, the bad outweighs the good and I'm moving all of my accounts to USAA which is far superior when it comes to internet banking.
I also have security concerns - IC does not display account numbers through online banking, however, if you need to get it send them a secure email with the account referenced and it will be on the bottom of the reply (in your orginal email). Security policies are great, but they're only as good as the people implenmenting them...
