Wednesday March 18th contacted customer and scheduled a water-test. Arrived at noon and proceeded to flood the entire roof which took 1hr. 40 minutes. When completed checked with owner [redacted] and he reported no leaking could be seen or detected. He and his wife told me they were satisfied with the results of the water test. However, when repairing the roof we used polyester mesh and coating in two areas, the edges of the fabric curled and is visible. I agreed to come back and touch up these areas with additional coating and send pictures of the work via email since the Hansums are returning to [redacted] and will not be here to view the results. We have the touch up scheduled to do as soon as the roof dries out. It is currently raining and the roof must be dry to apply coating.Out warranty is to keep the roof "water tight". The water-test proved this to be true.Thank you, sincerely,[redacted]I DO DEALINGS ROOFING LLC.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Firstly, yes this company did come to make repairs. We left for a walk and 30 minutes later came back and they were gone. There was no note left, nor any communication since via email or telephone message. Upon inspection of the roof, there appears to be an area that is not finished and would still cause issues with water.

March 5th 2015 sent a three man crew to repair blisters and prevent/repair leaking. At one time before we recoated the roof in 2013, someone applied aluminum coating which was not visible and had been previously recoated over. Aluminum coating is not compatible with foam and causes blistering....
This is our third trip to repair the roof. We repaired approximately 80 blisters this time and re-coated the area over the front bedroom where [redacted] had reported the leak. [redacted] products require a dry roof surface to apply and must remain dry for a few days to dry or else it can wash off when followed by rain. It has been a challenge to schedule with the wet monsoon and winter rains. I am confident that the leak has been repaired and will follow up with a water test.No one was home and was not able to talk to Peter before we left. Our warranty requires us to keep the roof watertight. We are in compliance and will continue to service the roof.Thank you, sincerely,[redacted]I Do Dealings Roofing[redacted]
Review: Have ongoing issues with getting work completed on our roof. Contract is not being honoured. Have left several voice mail messages and numerous emails, with no response from [redacted]. His last email, dated Dec 29, 2014 stated they would be back to recoat the roof and fix blisters. A prior visit from [redacted], he stated that the coating done in Jan 2013 was done incorrectly as they didn't realize there was a prior coating which didn't allow the new coating to adhere properly. He assured us all would be fine and it would get fixed. Have recently had water penetrate through the roof, once again. The ceiling in one bedroom has several water stains. Previously, water penetrated another bedroom and diningroom. All attempts to get this corrected have gone unanswered.Desired Settlement: We would like the contract honoured and the work promised to be completed. Would also appreciate calls and emails to be returned to us. We aren't asking for anything special, just what was promised to us via email and in person.
