I Cut Grass

Review: The owner [redacted] created an estimate for work to include weeding, mulching and trimming. I pre-paid $100 for mulch. The estimate said labor at $30 per hour and an estimated total of $250 (~8 hours of work). One man worked for approximately 4 hours, and the owner refused to acknowledge that the estimate is just an estimate and not a bill, and would not accept payment of anything less than the full $250. Furthermore, he stated in an email that "Four hours is more than necessary to do that job. Most jobs 3x that size don't take 4 hours long." So not only did he grossly overstate the estimate, he would not accept payment for the fours of work ($120). In addition, he threatened to take this to collections, and not even one business day had lapsed since the work was completed.Desired Settlement: I paid the owner the full $250 to move on and to not have to deal with this incredibly rude and unprofessional businessman. I would like a refund in the amount of $130 ($250 less $120 for the four hours of work).
