We ordered a piece from them a month ago; they delivered it early so we had to rush to prepare the room for the delivery. At first we thought, okay, how nice. But…

Two men came with a large truck and started unloading the pieces piece by piece at a glacier pace. God knows where these pieces came from; the boxes were already broken and taken care of. The mattresses that we ordered had a small tear from the truck and the mattresses were dirty because of it. The bed, which was supposedly made in USA, had a sticker that said, “Made in Vietnam.”

The two men finally started to “assemble” the pieces together, yet they had no clue what they were doing. They looked like they were at first but slowly my father and I began noticing that they were complete is. They were frequently looking at the instruction manual and standing around for several minutes trying to match things up. They ended up scratching the wood and then turned to us saying they were “missing a piece.” They left around 8pm saying they’d come back at 9pm latest.

At 9pm, with the two men missing and the bed unassembled together, we called the truck driver as well as the store demanding an explanation and a time when they’d come back. The person at the store said they’d call us back, but never did. The driver kept apologizing and said that they were at another person’s house dropping something off. The man at the store continually kept hanging up on us mid-sentence, yelling back at us, and being completely unhelpful and rude. (At one point he hung up on me, I called back immediately, to have him pick up and pretend to not know who I was or understand what I was talking about.)

At 9:45pm they stopped picking up their phone calls altogether and we ended up with the voicemail every time.

After, my father and I decided to see if pieces were really “missing.” Reading the instructions, we started making our bed and finished around 12am. No pieces were missing at all.

The next day they called to “apologize” for our grievances. At this point we wanted to never deal with this “business” ever again. This store is a poor excuse for a business and a scam house full of artists and monkeys. How unfortunate for Irvine to have such a business like this in such a nice city.

Review: This complaint is in regard to two issues: First, this company over three months ago delivered bar stools to our residence that were not items we purchased. Called business to tell them about the mistake. Called several times and spoke to [redacted] and [redacted], saying I needed someone to pick up the bar stools and that I needed the owner to contact me. Several times I was told that the owner was on vacation and was never called back. Now we are moving in three weeks and I am stuck with merchandise we did not order. I was told over the phone that if I left it outside my front door for them to pick up, they would have to take legal action against me, but never made arrangements for the barstools to be picked up. Second, we had a custom sofa ordered with them and we were promised 6-8 weeks. Because of the barstool incident and several other incidents involving other pieces purchased with them, my husband told the company over the phone that we wanted the owner to contact us because we want a refund of our cash deposit. Now it has been way over the 8 weeks promised, closer to 4 months, and the owner has not called us back. We need a refund or will have to call the authorities or take the company to small claims court.Desired Settlement: Company must pick up the barstools we did not want in the next 5 days. Also, must provide a full refund of our deposit or legal action will ensue.

when we have a custom make sofa for customer we can not allow any cancellation and she sign with us , On April ,19,2014 call her and tell her the furniture ready for delivery customer dont's want to accep my delivery, the special custom make sectional estimated delivery for customer from 6 to 8 weeks but 5 weeks later we

call and email customer for delivery we do every thing right to serve our customer just a mistake we make on the bar stools and we refund to customer per there request, we have all the document that we do right on file, we can not refund the deposit to customer for this case.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

This business is unethical. They lie constantly to cover themselves. They stated that the reason they haven't picked up the barstools is because we never answer our phone when the delivery guy calls to pick it up. That is a fabricated excuse. We have our own business and work mostly from home, therefore we constantly pick up our phones. They have never called once. At the time, I was contacted by [redacted] and was told the sofa was ready in their store and when could I pick it up. I told them that since we have had numerous problems with them in the past regarding this order and a previous one, my husband wanted to talk directly to the owner before picking up the sofa. I told her I could not make any decisions on the matter, but that my husband would. She told me the owner is out of town (the excuse they have given me EVERY time I have called them) so I asked that they give him a message to call us. Never called. I did not want them delivering a sofa to the house and if the order was wrong, it would sit at my house for months like the barstools have. I called this week (after my wedding and honeymoon) and [redacted] told us that its our fault for not picking up the merchandise when [redacted] had called me to have it delivered. [redacted] said it was my fault because I was having problems with my husband. All I told them before was my husband wanted to talk to the owner because he was upset with how all our transactions were transpiring with them. Why do they have to bring in some bogus excuse about marital problems with my husband? When instead the ball was in their court after I talked to them and and we were just waiting for a call back. They continually drop the ball on every transaction that happens and turn around and blame the customer. We have a business and their practices are unacceptable. We want our original deposit back on this sofa so we can wash our hands of this matter and move on.

By the term and conditions of sales we can not refund deposit to customer we have the sectional on time and even one weeks before we estimated delivery date, we email to customer and we have all in file

Review: On Saturday, 12/13/2014, I bought a couch from iContemporary Furniture in Fountain Valley, CA. I paid $825 cash for it. When I received it on 12/19/2014, I immediately discovered that it was damaged. The back of one of the pieces had been irreparably crushed, the leather was not properly upholstered over the arm piece, and one of the parts of the set did not match the set the I had ordered. When I contacted the company to inform them of the problem (I sent detailed pictures of the damage), [redacted], the manager and salesperson who sold me the couch, blamed me for the damage, refused to acknowledge the obvious fact that one of the pieces didn't match (despite the fact that the serial numbers on the items confirm that they are different), and told me that it was not their fault because it was “cheap furniture”. I have emails to document this entire exchange. When I asked them to fix the problem, they demanded that I bring the furniture back (which would require me to take time off of work and spend money to rent a truck), wait two weeks for the replacement item to come in (having no furniture in the meantime), then come back to pick it up myself (which would again, cost me time and money for the truck rental and time taken off of work). The alternative they offered was for me to pay them and additional $210 for pick up and re-delivery, which essentially amounts to me taking financial responsibility for THEIR mistake. After several emails and phone calls, I offered to bring the couch back in exchange for our money back. They refused, saying that I was only entitled to store credit and that they would collect a 33% restocking fee. I refused and asked for my money back again on 12/20/14. At this point, they are avoiding my phone calls, making it impossible for us to work towards a fair solution to this problem.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the $825 we spent on the couch, as it is unusable. I am happy to return the couch, but they should pay for the pick up service.

The [redacted] salesman ([redacted]) told me that it would be ready in a week. A week passed by and I contacted them and he said the dresser and night stands were ready by the end of the week, but the chest would be shipped later in a few days. Then a few days came out to a few weeks. I contacted him again and he said: "well, it will be shipped from China and it would take 6-8 weeks. I told him why you didn't tell me at the first place, so I would go other place to buy my set. Till now (Jan 3,2014) I have not received the chest after 2 months. The other branch is at Irvine. The manager ([redacted]) and other salesman ([redacted]) gave me a hard time too. When I got no response from Laguna Hills branch, I went to them and they told me they would call the day after, but they never did. The chest is $800, I already paid $300 and told them when it was arrived I would pay before delivery. Since December 2013 till now, I have been contacting them more than 20-25 times and every time they said we would get back to you shortly and they never did. Nobody gives me a clear answer when the chest will arrive. They are liar and so irresponsible and they gave me a hard time for 2 months and they disrespected me on the phone by saying: rude, bh,..... I have the invoice (dated 10/26/13) that I ordered 4 items (including the chest) and it is priced $800. As I mentioned, it was not delivered with other items. They told me it would be ready in a few days, then a few weeks, then 6-8 weeks. They never got back to me to tell me the status. I had to call them in several times without getting any clear response. In Dec, they said it was coming from China. In January, they said "we don't deal with that manufacturer any more and we have to find another vendor".

How can I trust them after standing me up for 2-3 months, giving me no true answer and also disrespecting me on the phone and hanging up on me. I had frequently told them that as soon as you get it in your stock, I will pay the rest ($500) and then you deliver it to me. But they never ordered the chest. Until now, January 27, 2014 (after 3 months) I have no clue what is going to do with my order.

There is other complaints on the internet (including [redacted]) about their awful service and customer service.

It has been very frustrating for me to deal with them and not getting my order after 3 months, calling them more than 20 times to ask about the status. They lied to me many times and never cared to keep track of my order.

Review: DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE!!! I was at the Spa next door and saw them so I thought I would stop over. Biggest mistake. I picked out a dinning table I wanted with 4 chairs and 2 barstools. First, the promise delivery day went by and they didn't even have the courtesy to call and say they didn't have the table yet. I called and they must have been ignoring my calls. I called over 10 times in an hour and got their voicemail. Then on a hunch, I called from our fax phone and they picked up in one ring. I explained what had been going on to my fianc who was vivid. He went straight back to the store and demanded our money back. They gave us a lame excuse saying that the table I wanted was no longer being manufactured. They would not refund the order because they claimed the barstools were already in the back ready to be delivered. So you guys don't have the courtesy to call and let the customer know???? The owner came out and tried to talk us into taking another table that was more expensive and supposedly better quality. We said fine and he tried to get us to pay the difference which was $100, he claimed. My fianc said hell no, give us the table or no deal. They finally agreed. A week goes by and they deliver the table and chairs, but no barstools. We ask the delivery guys where they were; they said they forgot them. He says he will go back and get them and come back in a couple hours. He calls several hours later (after 9pm) to tell us he couldn't get back over to our house. My fianc lets it slide because at least they called this time. We both go out of town for almost a week and when I get home, I call them about the barstools. I ask where they are and they claim the delivery guy is off for the day. I call the next day, and finally get a hold of this delivery guy and after he looks up the order he states the barstools will be delivered today. Its 10:30pm right now and again, no call and no show with the barstools. I can't believe they did it again. They are the worst company I have had the displeasure of working with. I wish I never laid eyes on this place. I will be contacting the Revdex.com if I get no resolution from them in the next 24 hours.Desired Settlement: Requiring a refund for our custom sofa they claim is being made and the 2 barstools
