Computer hacking scam
Several years ago while I was undergoing chemotherapy, I was on my computer and suddenly it was locked with a message from Apple that I needed to purchase a 5 year security package. Unfortunately, I was not myself and paid the money. Apple told me that it was a scam and my apple computer didn't need this. Today a very rude man with an East Indian accent called me while I was on my way to a procedure. I didn't answer. He called my SON who texted me to beware of the scam. After my procedure this same rude man called (from 213.***) who said he is required by law to return money to me but he must have access to my computer. I told him I didn't want his money, I only wanted him to stop calling and to please never call my son again.
He would not give me his name, nor the address of his company. He said it was "I Care Solution". He then told me that unless I cooperated he was going to send out an alert to his team and in one hour my phone would be flooded with calls, so much that I would not be able to use my phone. He then yelled to someone: "this woman is being very rude. we have access to all of her accounts. Immediately please begin by withdrawing $2000 from her account. I hung up on him and blocked his calls. I don't know what else to do. I will alert my banks and watch my accounts but what a very horrible man.
I want assurance that all ties have been cut from this business.
This business entity is closed.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I would like the business to tell me that they will never bother me again. Their reply states what "may" have happened to the business, not "WHAT" has actually happened to the business.
Refund is due.Could not satisfactorily conclude how payment could be made.
Since icare is no longer providing service in the USA, I understand that I was due to a refund. The method of receiving it was to say the least, arcane. I was told that the only way to get a refund was to PURCHASE a gift card which they would add to, to refund the money.
I was given false information as to how a specific gift card could be used anywhere and the person I talked to was extremely rude and adamant about the method. My experience was dismal.
