Hyundai of New Bern

Car has no spare tire nor Jack.I purchased a 2012 Hyundai Accent in November 2012. I recently went to find my jack and spare tire and they were missing. I called the dealership and was informed that since I have roadside assistance the items are not needed. I informed the dealer that the car should have these items regardless. I was then told that I could purchase a spare tire and jack for $400.00.I understand that roadside assistance will come when I call them and change my tire and the dealer will reimburse me but I shouldn't have to call unless I want to. Mrs. [redacted] did purchase her Hyundai from us and at the time she new the car did not have a spare or jack. Her car came from the factory with an inflator kit. It is my understanding that over 50% of the new cars sold in America do not have spare tires. This trend is due to the fact that manufacturers must make their vehicles lighter for improved fuel economy. I feel her complaint should be aimed at the manufacturer and not Hyundai of New Bern, but I try to make all my customers happy. I will pay for half or up to $200.00 max for Mrs. [redacted] to buy a spare tire and jack.
