Review: I reently stayed the at Hyatt Place Richmond Airport location at [redacted], #[redacted].
My reservation was booked through [redacted], I was paid the hotel amount in full at the time reservation was made, $198. This was also confirmed when I checked into the hotel on 8/9/13. During the day of my checkout, the hotel bill left under the door showed a amount for the two night stay billed again under a amount of $164.00. I went online to confirm with my credit card statement that this amount amount was being held as pending, nnot the normal $25-$50 typically held for incidentals. I went down to the lobby to correct the error, the reservation specialist acknowledged that there was a billing issues and involved a member of management, they "said" the error was corrected and a new bill with $0 due was given to me, they adivsed the pending charges would be released in a couple days.
I checked my credit card activity again and the pending charge of $164 is not pending and it now charged, but has offically gone through and charged. I called the [redacted]. The representative contacted the Hyatt Place Richmond and confirmed the charges were billed, he confirmed that the intitial reversal that was advised to me during checkout was not processed and the manager on staff this morning was conducting the reversal now. I asked what the error was initially, he stated he was unable to provide an answer and I would have to wait for the reversal to go through. I am more concerned about the level of service and the attitude received for being dismissed as a lowly consumer. He said the local rep said that she just processed the refund, I advised that is also what was told to me the morning I was checking out and addressed it there. He said, then you'll just have to wait, what else do you want me to do? This level of customer service and dismissal of customer concerns is unacceptable. I asked for written confirmation, email confirmation and was advised none could be provided.Desired Settlement: I would also like a formal apolgy letter from Hyatt Corporate office, the names of the representatives that I've dealt with during my check out on 8/11/2013, the names of the customer service representative that I spoke with this morning, and the name of the manager that processed the refund again this morning.
