Company has installed 3 transmissions in my Ford Ranger in last two years...none of them have been operational longer than two days. Second one didn't make it a mile from their lot. Tired of constant run around, and hassle, I ask for refund so that I could go elsewhere, and they are refusing to honor their warranty. Our family has been struggling with flooding issues, trusted them to do right thing, and make good, now being told that warranty is almost up in a year from now, so they don't want to honor it? Please note dates/amounts are approximate.

To address the customer's concerns, let me first start by saying that we have put only 2 transmissions in this vehicle. The first of which was April 2018. The second was a year later in April 2019. The issue that occurred a mile from the shop was the failure of the carrier bearing (not related to the transmission), which we repaired and then towed the vehicle back to the location of their choosing for free (round trip was 112 miles). We are not refusing to honor our warranty, we started the warranty process as soon as we were contacted that there was an issue again. The customer wanted to take it to a more local mechanic and we had absolutely no problem with that request. Nothing in the warranty terminology refers to a full refund; however, that is something that we have not necessarily ruled out depending on the results of some testing being done. I spoke with ***, whom has been in contact with us on behalf of his son ***, the company from which we purchased the transmission as well as the warranty company. The warranty company, which has significant training and knowledge of these transmissions, feels there is not an issue with the transmission itself, but rather an issue with the truck. They warranty company however has already sent another transmission and the customer has agreed to let his local mechanic put it in the vehicle. IF problems continue, the company we purchased the transmission from will transport, free of charge, the vehicle to a location in Kansas City for further investigation. When I spoke with *** he seemed agreeable to that solution. As far as the warranty timeframe, it was explained that the warranty starts at the time of the full purchase and does not start over when a replacement transmission is put in.
