I went to the office today because my son gets braces from them I normally pay $129 a month today when my son made a payment they took $638 out so when I seen it I ask the lady why they took so much out and she replied that that's the remaining balance since the taking hes braces of next visit but not one time did she tell me that so now my bank account is in a minus I mean If I had any idea I would made sure I had all the money
Refund I like to get that fixed
The following statement is in reply to the complaint (case ID XXXXXXXX). The parent of the our patient was in the waiting area at the time of the disputed transaction regarding her sons account. Our receptionist informed the parent the her sons account must be paid in full before the next procedure (impression for retainers). This procedure indicates that active treatment is complete. As with all of our contracts, the account of the person being treated must be paid in full before impressions are made.
After impressions are made, retainers are fabricated and the following office visit, all braces are removed and retainers are inserted.
In review of the initial contract for her son, the parent checked all parts of the contract and signed it. This contract included that the statement that the account must be paid in full before impressions for retainers were made.
At the time of her son's appointment, she was present and in the waiting area only a few feet from the receptionist when she gave her credit card to her son. He then gave the credit card to our receptionist to make the final payment on the account. The amount of the account was $638.00. At no time did the mother indicate that there was any problem with her account. If our receptionist had known this at the time of the transaction, the charge could have been reversed immediately. Since consumer desire a refund this would negate fabrication of retainers and delay removal of braces.
