Review: [redacted]
I had a tremendously horrible experience buying a car from Huntington Beach Dodge Dealers (Dealer) who were unethical at the least, in my opinion, if not outright involved in decades-old illegal practices of bait-and-switch tactics as briefly described below.
Here’s what happened:
1. We saw a car we liked on the dealer website advertised for $21,000. We called the dealer to ensure availability and price. I spoke to [redacted] (salesperson) who then directed me to [redacted] (manager), who guaranteed that if we called them before we left he house, that he’d make sure that he set aside the vehicle for us, as we live a long way from the dealership, roughly 80 miles.
2. So, then, before leaving the house, as instructed, we called the dealer and spoke to the salesperson, and told him we are on our way. He confirmed on the phone that he will pull the specific car aside, as it was still “available.”
3. We reached the dealership, found the salesperson, and located the car we had talked about. We then took the car for a test drive, liked it, and asked to buy it. Salesperson said, “sure,” and took us over his desk, and we started to write-up a contract, starting with a credit application, with the keys of the car on the table.
4. A few minutes later, we were abruptly interrupted by another salesperson, who came over, and whispered to [redacted] that the car had just been sold.
5. In utter shock of having our car snatched so unprofessionally from under our feet, we asked to see the manager.
6. Manager came over and said he can’t do anything, as I didn’t directly speak to him. I explained to him that he is a hard person to get a hold of and getting a hold of him is nearly impossible. We told him that since we communicated to the “agent” or salesperson in charge that we are coming, that it should’ve been enough. [redacted] replied, and I quote, “[redacted] is not my agent"Desired Settlement: I'll be happy if I can have the features I was promised for the price that was promised to me over the phone.
Review: I purchased 2 maintenance plans with my new Dodge challagerI had allot of problems getting the maintenance done noone in [redacted] seemed to know what was covered and allot of my plan was not used a service manager in [redacted] took the time to printout my plan. Told me to tKe it for service as described on paper and show at every maintenace. I did that and the paper states for me to take car in at 102.000 milesI took in at 101.00 miles just to be safe and they told me my plan EXPIRED!!I was following the maintenance plan that was given to me in GP I feel it is unfair and so deceiving. Not to mention the first plan included oil changes and my other plan was used instead. They owe me for service that was never done. And return all the oil changes that were used up on the other plan. I asked several times called, emailed from the start about this plan and never did I get any answers about whT was covered.Desired Settlement: I want refund for services that were never done due to them not knowing what was covered as well as refund for my other service plan
