Do not call Mr Rooter In June I called Mr Rooter to clear a slow running kitchen drain They showed up late charged me $and left me with a kitchen sink that would not drain at all They failed to bring the tools needed, a snake they said was kinked and could no longer be used, and they did not have a plunger My requests for returning half my money for not completing the job have been ignored Do not call Mr Rooter or as they are also known as Anderson Plumbing, they are not trust worthy
Mr Rooter came in response to our call to open our sewer line. They came about 5:00 pm. They dug up the clean out plug but we're unable to to continue with the clean out because they were missing a filter for their machine. They informed us that they had requested someone from their company bring them the part. Several hours later, the part had not arrived and we informed them their services were not required due to the delay and the excessive costs quoted of over $500. At that time, approximately 8:00 pm, we seriously needed the sewer line opened and we negotiated the cost to $400. The part was delivered and subsequently they told us the line was clear and they were paid. Less than 30 days later, the same line clogged again. We called them on Monday, 12/15/14, and informed them the line had clogged again and we needed them to return. We were told they could not come out till Friday! I explained we could not wait until Friday to flush toilets, and take showers, that was five days away. We felt they should have responded immediately since they failed to clear the sewer line sufficiently three weeks before. Because of their failure to respond quickly, we contacted another plumber. Hill Plumbing responded very quickly and removed a bundle of roots that should have been removed by Mr Rooter. Hill Plumbing of Sumter charged $106.00 to clear the line vs Me Rooter's request for $500. We feel the $500 requested and the $400 paid, was way too expensive. We will not call them again.
