I called Humanix about a position that was still posted as available on their website. I had submitted my application and the girl on the phone confirmed she could locate my application and everything looked good. She said the position has not been filled and to keep following up with them. She then transfers me to their information line that gives you tips on how to increase your chances of getting hired. One of them was to make sure you upload your resume. I hang up and wanted to confirm I uploaded my resume for the open position. I go to look for the job posting on their website, the job that I was just told was still open and they were accepting applications. I can no longer find the posting so I call back immediately. I get transferred to another girl who tells me she just removed the posting and they have chosen three people to interview in a few days. Apparently they lied to me the first time I called and thought I wouldn't notice the posting was deleted from their website within minutes. This is a shady business and their actions were unnecessary. A better solution would have been to tell me the first time I called that you have chosen your applicants but failed to remove the posting from the website.
