We have come to a mutual agreement on this issue and have settled dispute with customer directly
The reason I disputed this was that nowhere in their resolution did they state that I would be reimbursed $200.00. I've since spoken with Tires Plus to confirm that so we should be good to go. Thank you!
Review: My 2005 Chevy Equinox was taken into this facility for investigation of a grinding noise coming from the right front end. I received a call from Tires Plus saying that the car needed both front wheel bearings replaced and that it needed a new rear carrier support bearing. I approved the change of the rear carrier center support bearing only. They did change this bearing, but when they took off the drive shaft to do so, they called and said the whole drive shaft needed more work to be repaired. I did not authorize any further work and when I picked up the car without the drive shaft in place, I was charged 418.29 for the new rear carrier support bearing. I then took the car and the removed drive shaft to a Chevy dealer and then a drive shaft specialist who both informed me that there is no way to repair the drive shaft and it needed to be completely replaced, and a new drive shaft would come with a new rear carrier support bearing. Therefore, the rear carrier support bearing put on by Tires Plus was useless. I feel Tires Plus charged me for work that did not need to be done.Desired Settlement: I would like my money refunded, this was not a cheap repair, and I never should have been charged for a repair that was not necessary in the first place.

[redacted] in reviewing your situation with the staff at the Hudson store, I completely agree with you. I'm not sure if you were able to talk to the store manager about this scenario but I will contact you and arrange for a refund.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I appreciate the time that the company took to resolve this issue and refund my money in full.
Review: On Monday, January 11,2016 I brought my 2001 Ford Focus into National Tire and Battery in Oakdale, MN for the first time for a standard oil change and tire rotation. Here is a word for word explanation of what they found:
Technician states the oil drain plug felt loose, and proceeded to remove the oil drain plug to drain the oil. Once removed, the technician noticed the oil drain pan threads came out with the plug. The oil pan no longer had threads to hold the plug in. The damage appears to be from the previous oil change.
That oil change was at a Tires Plus in Hudson, Wisconsin in late September. When I called the store to talk to them about it, they shut me down immediately, with 'that is normal wear and tear.' The technician at NTB said no way was that normal wear and tear and showed me the stripped threads. My car was not suitable to be driven as I had no oil pan or way to cap it. The repairs included one $250.93 oil pan and the labor to install it at $106.00 per hour for an hour and a half labor. You could contact [redacted] at NTB at ###-###-#### to vouch the validity of this claim. The problem as caused from the last oil change, not from wear and tear. I have not only the ruined oil pan, but the window sticker and banking information that proves Tires Plus performed the oil change that warranted these costly repairs.Desired Settlement: I would like someone instead to call and ask how they can make this right, ie credit towards tires or that amount of money off a future repair bill.
