Review: We had numerous issues with our AC unit
Each time Howells came out and did some thing they chargesd me but did not solve the issue
On the third trip I asked the service manager to provide a gaurentee
He gave me a verbal gaurentee
I paid 834.00 to get the unit fixed only to once again find out that what they fixed was not the problem
They have come back and now want me to replace to AC unit (5000 to 7000 estimate)
I have called Howellls twice to speak with a manager that promised me the verbal gaurentee
He will not return my calls.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
RespectfullyDesired Settlement: Explain the poor service and the reason he is not backing his verbal gaurentee
Refund of my last service bill 834.00

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I spoke with [redacted] about the guarantee he provided me in May before completing the work on 5/15.
He admitted he provided a guarantee but now is say it was for a different problem.
I disagreed with him that it was a separate problem ( his own letter shows that it was the same problem)
We did not get to a mutual agreement how this should be resolved.
It is my opinion this company does not back up it word or the work they do.
Subsequently, I will not do any more business with them.
Please close this case.
Thank you for helping me get the company to return my calls.
Regards,
Review: Howell's overcharged my family on a repair order. They came out and replaced a capacitor that was bad. They charged us over $200.00 for a capacitor costing under $50.00. I research the exact capacitor and found how much they were costings. But what make this even worst, they stated services on my invoice that they performed that was not even done. This is clearly not good business practices. Someone should investigate this company business practicesDesired Settlement: I requesting a refund as well as explanation on how they indicates on their invoices false services performed.

Response:
I'm sorry you feel the charges are excessive. Equipment repairs can be expensive and it's expensive to provide professional, reliable in-home repair service and that's one reason we use an industry standard flat rate pricing system. That's also the reason we provide a quote for the exact amount of the repair and get your approval before we perform the work. This allows our customers the opportunity to think about the repair cost and shop around for better pricing if they're not comfortable with our quote. In addition we routinely survey the market to insure our pricing is competitive. The cost of an individual part is just one of over 23 items factored in the cost of providing professional, reliable in-home repair services. You authorized the $202 repair prior to the work being done.
Regarding services listed (on the invoice that was emailed to you on the day of the repair) but possibly not performed; the item in question is "visually inspected filter and indoor coil". The technician feels certain he did visually inspect the filter and indoor coil but he's not 100% positive. Thanks for bringing that to our attention. We're sorry for any inconvenience but we will gladly send a technican back at your convenience to provide that service; in addition we will perform our 32 point Tune Up on your system at no charge. Please contact our office at [redacted] and one of our dispatchers will schedule your appointment. If you have other questions or concerns please give us a call.

Regards,
Unhappy with the company response and do not want them back working on my ac unit. They lie about work performed and overcharge their customer and do not charge all the customers the same price for the exact same parts.
They were excellent! Found my problem fast. Corrected it and heater working in no time! Called out a different business previously and was told it could not be repaired, needed a new unit.
