I dropped off my sewing machine on August 5, for a serviceI gave them a $depositI was told there was a back log for servicing sewing machines so to expect weeks before it would be seenI gave a generous weeks before getting curious and calledThey couldn't find my machine, then when they did locate it they said it was still being looked at, they were having troublesI was told they would call meToday, October 18, I received a call stating that my machine was not serviceable and they recommended throwing it in the trashI was told it was a light weight cheap machineI told them I knew this, I bought it because it was light weight and it has served me well The lady then proceeded to invite me to buy a REAL sewing machine from their shop and come in and take some classes because, she said, it was obvious by the repairs needed on the machine that I had clearly not taken the time to be trained on my old machineShe then proceeded to tell me that she was going to ha
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me
Occasionally we try beyond hope to fix an unfixable machine. Our technician did not want to give up on this little machine, tried separate times then set it aside to try on another day. Unfortunately he had already completed a service on it and could not get the needle calibration
dialed in due to the quality of the machine. My comment about having to pay the technician was uncalled for and for that I apologize. He charges me per machine and had already serviced it which cost me more than your deposit, which was my problem and frustration and again I'm sorry for that comment, it was uncalled for. ***, you told me it was only a $machine. What I said is that it did not have a cast aluminum frame which makes it lightweight and difficult to hold calibrationsWhen I said I could not find the machine over the phone, I meant “at that moment” due to customers in the store waiting in line.Regarding my reference to classes, what I said was that our machines came with classesAn owner’s training class teaches troubleshooting steps which could have helped you avoid the massive thread jam (technician’s words) that was in your machine.I asked you if you wanted to come get your machine or for us to throw it away since it could not be fixed and was of no value.Communication is so very tricky sometimes and perhaps, time allowed, I could have been more patient in explaining things. I’m often working alone in this very busy store and can appear rude when I’m only trying to be efficient. I’m sorry I came off that way to you. As far as a former complaint made by another customer I would encourage you to read the response so you have all the facts. We try very hard to please our customers, we depend on themI would never intentionally be rude to them. Let’s start over please
